if you look close you will notice the awesome 2SS hovering about 10 mm above the ground, it actually flys. The 1SS has to be earth bound.

It's true, they had the hardest time getting them on the trains to ship.

Not true. Only LTs will show an RS badge. 1SS or 2SS show the SS badge with differing color based on whether it's equipped with the RS package. There is no "RS" badge anywhere on any SS model unless it is aftermarket.

Also, it is possible to see an SS/RS with the white SS badge but HIDs. There have been people on here saying they would be purchasing the white badge and swapping the red out.

What the bottom line is that you really, really have to hunt if you want to see the difference, so why sweat it. The only thing really the 2ss has over the 1ss is option choices. If your looking for external differences doesn't look like there are many if any>>>>

if you see the driver standing outside of the car,and looks like he is talking to his car.You will know it's a 2SS,he's just connected to the cars bluetooth.

The car in this picture is a V-6 (LT).
As far as exterior differences are concerned the SS (V-8) has the mail slot while the LT & LS models (V-6) don't.

Red RS badging - V-6 with RS package
White SS badging - Non RS V-8
Red SS badging - RS package on a V-8

Got it?

I was also disappointed to see that the SS does not get an "RS" badge added to it when you get the RS package. I saw the "RS" badge on an LT and it looked great. I woul \d love the four gauge set but I did not want topay 4 grand for them. I ordered a 1SS. So could one of the happy owners tell me how they like the power and the ride? I rented an LT for a week from AVIS and thought it was a beautiful car in terms of looks, of course, but the way the engine pulled and the automatic transmission worked together was total magic. It set a very high bar for the SS. Fantastic ride, endless power.

Makes sense, hadn't thought of that, thanks for the clarification

I actually think an "SS/RS" badge would be cool. Hell, I'd even like an "LT/RS" badge (since an LT is what I'll be getting anyway). Maybe make the LT and SS white with the RS red. I think it'd be a nice touch for an aftermarket mod.
