I still find it humorous that all these people were saying, "I'm getting a Z/28...I'm getting a Z/28!" when they were introduced. LOL! These vehicles are going to be a VERY limited production car. Compound that with the $75k price tag+the $10-15k dealer mark-up and taxes. You're looking at damn near $90k for a Camaro. Hahahahaha! Too funny! That's not even including all the EXPENSIVE upkeep. If you're planning on making this a DD (which I'm sure some goof balls are), you better bring a thick wallet. Good luck walking down to the local dealer and saying, "I want my Z/28 now.".

There will be honest dealers that will sell them at MSRP...

No its part of the price, look at the last line from fbodfather.

That's what amazes me about that line of thinking. Some will likely wait 5-10 years and spend 125K to get one. Which I guess is smarter than if you buy one now for close to $100K after dealer markups. Even at 2.5 percent inflation for 10 years you're looking at close to 125K. So basically breaking even after inflation. Not losing money, but a bad investment IMO. If I'm tying up 100K for 10 years, I don't want to hope to just break even. And then you don't even get to drive it and have to take care of it. Like an invalid in a nursing home. Forget that. Of course there's always that financial retard that will buy the car at any price anyway.

By then there'll probably be better cars than the current Z/28 anyway.

I get that it's purpose built and outperforming car WAY more expensive car but when you can get a 1LE with every single option under the sun for $42K....or have a base 1LE for $37,500.....that is literally LESS THAN HALF THE PRICE of a Z28 and 98% of drivers cannot even push the 1LE to it's legitimate limits......the Z28 niche market is for people who just want their d*ck to feel bigger...OR a dedicated SERIOUS weekend racer!
I'll keep my 1LE until the 6th Gen 1LE comes out thank you very MUCH
I agree, the cost on new cars is getting rediculous!

Which is also why I must point out, a new 1LE with every single option is north of $48,000 MSRP. Nothing's cheap anymore!

$75K....That's not bad at all....Thought it would be higher....Pricey for a Camaro, sure...but look at what you get....I've sunk thousands into my SS for track stuff....and still not even close to what the Z/28 delivers...

It just might be something to consider if you really want to bump up your track game ....I'm a maybe....a tentative maybe....depending on availability, mark-ups, and of course my own finances....It would be a huge commitment on my financial part...
but the price is actually a pleasant surprise...

I was right there with you. I guessed just a hair under 70K. Oh well.

Wow ok so some of you expected a car with a LS7 ceramic brakes thinner glass to come in around 60k...Please pass whatever it is your smoking......Like I said before if you took a base 1LE dropped a LS7 and just put the brakes on it your at around 65K. That doesn't include labor tunning etc...Change the tires and your at 68K.

So please tell me where this price is bad considering everything else that your are getting.

That's way too much you can tune a zl1 for less and still have money left over for gas.
