I'm not 100% I got it back all the way. This is as far as I could with the carpet in.

I think there's a metal tab (where the side carpeting was originally attached to) behind/above the sub box, somewhere in the area of the speaker hole. I had to bend it back a little to get the speaker back further.

Yeah I bent it with a hammer. I think it's more of the wire over the wheel well problem.

That may be it, I forgot the BA system is wired differently than my car. My box was a little different also (didn't come with the compartment for the amp like yours).

The carpet can prevent the sub from sliding in all the way. The installation instructions state to cut the carpet.

The side carpet, not the carpet on the floor. I did cut the side carpet.

Just checking, as your only mention of carpet was that it was "in".

How does it stay in. Is it just pressure or is in mounted down in some way?

Yeah, it's not going anywhere, It's a tight fit. The one cargo net retainer also makes sure that the box will go nowhere. At least on mine. There is less than 1/2" between cargo net retainer and box.

******** Stealth install...

I don't know, I couldn't get the end closest to the back of the car, or the end closest to the front to move anymore, maybe it is back as far as it goes. Maybe sometime I'll take a rubber mallet out and see if that can get anything to move further back in. I tapped it with a regular hammer, and it moved it very little.

Make sure the tab that normally hold the carpet is bent up, I bent mine with my hand, also make sure your wire harness is pushed all the way into the back quarter panel. Mine box would budge like your until I moved the wire harness back into the quarter.

Did you have to cut the carpet?

Yes. You have to cut out the middle section of it.

When you put it all back it looks factory stock.

Except there is a big 'ol 12" sub in your trunk!!!

If anything, at this point, it will only go about 1/2" more .
