That should be about as far as it goes. Mine is about the same, and it hasn't moved since it was installed last year.

I took it out today, moved some cords, put a grill on it, put it back, and it went in the whole way! It's now flush with the body of the car.

Are the ******** boxes the way to go? I have a jl 12w6v3 that I need to find a box for. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

I'd recommend them. They're a high-quality, sealed box. They have the stealth box like what has been pictured in the thread, as well as rear-firing and front firing boxes, depending on what suits your needs. I know they have the option for cutting the hole to fit the JL 12w7, not sure if that's any different than the 12w6.
Thanks for the info, by any chance do you know how the ******** box compares to the jl stealth box? I've heard that fiberglass boxes are sturdier and provide better sound quality? Is this true? |

I can't imagine that you need anything more sturdy than the ******** stealth.
It's build very well and a PERFECT fit. |
