I drove several M6 SS's before ordering my 1LE. I did it almost on blind faith. The standard SS left me underwhelmed. I have a certain type of car I prefer the 1LE IMHO is how the Camaro should have been since 2010.

Unless you want your car to be docile and quiet get a 1LE with the NPP skip the sunroof and get the RS package with the BA System and Nav... you only live once.

The car will be just about perfect as is but you will mod it... eventually.

I love my 1LE, ride is not an issue, I actually prefer the ride of the 1LE, fuel economy is not an issue, I get slightly less than with my 2010 SS, but I attribute that to the sound of the NPP exhaust causing more acceleration...

One thing that hasn't been mentioned is cold weather driving. For a true daily driver, you will need to get a second set of wheels/tires for months with consistent temps below 40. To me this is the only advantage a standard SS has over a 1LE for daily use. For me, it means I use mine as a daily driver about 7 months out of the year and park it for 5 rather than getting a second set of tires.

My 1LE rides like a dump truck and I have absolutely no use for a 'track prepped' car.

BUT, it's a simply awesome car and I don't regret it one single bit. If my job wasn't such a dirty clothes/nasty parking lot affair, I wouldn't have a problem driving it everyday!

Try dropping the tire pressure to 30-32 psi. Makes it feel so much better.

Haven't seen this mentioned yet. My 1LE sits much lower than my 2010 so I have to be careful where I go. I have to back into my driveway to prevent scraping but that's not a problem. I love the car!

Thanks for the inputs, folks. Was on the fence but have gone all in. 2SS/RS 1LE with NPP, NAV, and Recaros (hope I fit, if not, watch for 'em on the marketplace).

Can't wait! Now I just have to remember how to drive stick. Mine will be the Bitchin' Camaro with the "Caution: Student Driver" stickers on it.

Good for you man. You'll love it. I came off of an over 20 year hiatus when I got mine. Took me about a month to get back in full swing but it was worth it.

You're going to have a helluva good time in that! (I've got the exact same trimmings!)

I ordered a yellow 2SS, 1LE, RS, recaro seats, NPP exhaust, and navigation in March and it is scheduled to be produced this week. I have no intention of tracking it, and it will be my second car for pleasure. I drive 90 miles each weekend each way up to Sandusky OH all summer so hoping it makes the trip a fun drive. I just like the look of the 1LE.

Welcome to C5. This is a great place to learn all about your car while you're waiting. Nice order. You'll love it. Have you started buying mods yet? LOL, I accumulated a good stack in the corner waiting for delivery. BTW, it took 25 days from production (3/17) to delivery for my car but hopefully the railcars are moving better now. Plan on a week to get hood wrap after production then it gets in line for a ride south.
