I paid 35,400 for my house and was happy when I was able to keep the price for my new Camaro under that. House prices around here are not all that bad.

Not sure why anyone would buy a Z/28 and not thrash on it. What good are big brakes, a NA 427 w/manual, stiff suspension, and 1.08g lateral, if you paid for it and aren't going to use it. The ZL-1 is faster. The 1LE is more attractively priced. And the SS is more car than 90% of drivers can take to it's limits.

It would be like dating a supermodel and just holding hands.

I bought beer in Dallas on a Sunday. Had to leave the Clubhouse because they didn't serve alcohol period. Byob to a strip club. Never heard anything like it. And it was definitely Sunday. One of the strippers was missing her right arm. That's called your B Squad. True story by the way...

Here in KY, the wet counties, buying alcohol ranges from 12am to 4am as the cut off times. We've got drive thrus too and they even sell alcoholic slurpies. Lol.

Mini cooper really? My wife had one for a few years what a unreliable piece of sh*t. Sent that thing to the curb.

A little over forty grand is a lot of money for an old fart like me. My first house, a three bedroom ranch, was only seven grand more than my Camaro. There are many people with deep pockets on these forums.

I am talking about buying liquor for personal use. Yes, a bar can sell you beer and liquor until 2 am. If you wanted to buy a bottle you can only do so from 10 am - 9 pm Monday through Saturday as per TABC law. Otherwise it's to the bar you go. I've been doing this for years my friend trust me on this. Again, I'm only talking liquor. We hardly sell beer at my stores, but it's 10 am - 12 am Monday - Friday, 10 am - 1 am Saturday, 12 pm - 12 am Sundays.

And yes, these cars are tracked. They are thrown into walls, new fenders put on, motors replaced, transmissions torn up and raced again. There are hundreds of thousands of dollars spent. There are thousands of race fans spending money to see the races. There are many people on the race teams who earn their living doing this.

If you actually read my post you'd see I wasn't bashing either side. But you're right, because I abbreviated ridiculous the entire post is null.

What year was that though and how much did a Camaro cost then?

I wouldn't say I have deep pockets, I work in an area with a high cost of living so I earn decent money to compensate for that. Also like others here, I wouldn't say I'm close to rich, I just made a lot of sacrifices to pay off my Camaro because its what I wanted, much like some do with a house, a vacation, treating themselves to whatever daily, etc...

Housing around me is ridiculous though, over $100k for a 2 bed, 1 bath, major fixer-upper.
