Anybody here looked into Stainless works headers and HF cats? I had a full LT header and catback on my 2005 GTO and I thought it sounded awesome.

We bought the exhaust commander that you can program to one of your home link buttons to leave the NPP valves open or work normaly and we love it, the decel pops are the best part

After pricing is announced later this summer you will be able to purchase the splitter as part of an aero package. You will be able to order from your local Chevy dealer. Info in this thread:http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showthread.php?t=356478

Also, keep an eye on the Chevrolet Performance website. You won't find this info just yet. http://www.chevrolet.com/performance/camaro-parts.html

Edit: Just remembered that it is for 2014 Camaros and up only. You could change your 2012 front to a 2014 but very expensive. Also you would have to buy the splitter as part of a package. Maybe you could sell the parts you don't want.

I Love the dual mode sound. It is just enough for me. Pulled the fuse and love the pops and crackle on the decel. However, hated the drone on the highway. I will order the Amazon switch to make my own mild to wild for the highway. The Quad exhaust gets a lot of good comments also. GM did a great job on this. They just need to install a permanent on off switch up front.

Pretty ingenious way to get around government regulations, they progressively make it harder and harder on car companies, vehicle noise is one of those parameters and one of the primary reason Porsche had to go from air cooled to water cooled, it was much quieter. I'm sure there are different rpm points or speeds where the car is measured, and NPP waltzed around it. I love it, as a DD, and a weekend warrior it is great.

I picked up a DashLogic plug-in unit and, in addition to all the cool display functions, all I have to do is toggle the cruise control's right switch - up for "Quiet Mode" and down for "Power Mode"...

I want the power or there's no point in changing anything. Long tubes with a tune are the basis for any meaningful breathing power gains, so they are a must have in my book. Once that decision is made it becomes a question of what you want it to sound like. I like the subtle approach so I'm going with HFCs into the stock catback retaining NPP. The work is scheduled for one week from today.

Pulled the fuse, don't notice any significant drone. Takes 5 minutes

I installed the Mild2Wild switch in my 1LE this morning. Exactly 12 hours after driving it off the showroom floor. I was actually pretty pleased that even stock the NPP sounded great, even when the baffles were closed. But the Mild2Wild added that little extra I was looking for. So far I just leave the exhaust open. No drone even at highway speeds. Even tried going back and forth at speed it makes very minimal difference. But actually going through the gears is where the Mild2Wild switch makes the difference. Very sweet!

Aftermarket catback will cause drone in the cabin. The NPP will sound sick with high flow cats or headers and no drone, and very very very little with the fuse pulled. It has the best tone IMO. My friend has a 5.0 with a Borla catback and it sucks IMO; just drone and a low bass sound. Be sure to shop and listen to a lot of sound clip.

Invest in HFC or headers, you wont regret it. Removing your NPP would be a mistake if you got it in the 1st place.

CAI and headers should be your saving grace.
