I updated the MyLink DIY instructions with this tip, and gave you credit for this.
I just sent the newly updated MyLink DIY instructions to Ofer so he can upload it.

Happy to help! My Onstar box wouldn't even slide all the way out without doing that. After removing the tab it almost reaches the floor. Great access to the plugs.

Mylink Install

***QUESTION***

On the new radio harness: does it matter which bundle of red, black, bare wires go to the AC and Onstar harness? Hopefully not. Also, my white wire is totally separate from the bundles. It's a pin on one end and a t-tap on the other. I've read and watched but where it goes I must be missing.

***answers***

The shorter bundle of 3 cables goes to the HVAC connector (A20) and the longer ones go to the Onstar (X2) connector.
The white wire t-taps into the white wire (#43) on the rear of the A11 connector(large radio connector), Also shown in video #8. The pin end plugs into the HVAC connector (A20) pin#18.

Yes it does matter. Download the newer instructions that Ofer posted. The one that I just sent him will be uploaded later today.

The White wire has the T-tap it goes to pin 43 of the main radio harness A11 for BA systems, and the other end goes to pin 18 of the HVAC/Radio connector A20.

Do you have a BA or non-BA system? If non-BA system then you won't have a wire in pin 43 and GEN5DIY should have supplied you with a new wire. Either way the other end of pin 43 goes to pin 18 of the HVAC/Radio connector A20.

Looking at the picture below, which grey bundle goes to the hvac plug?

I've been told the shorter one, the one close to the green wire (that also goes to AC).

Since the cables bundles are not identified you need to call so Ofer can tell you. I thought they were going to start labeling the cables to make it easier. I can see the issue as all the cable bundles have the same color wires, but since I don't have the pin out of the new connector I can't help you.

Does the video help any?

Awesome! I guessed correctly! Thank you.

I just talked with Ofer about the white wire, so I'm good with it now.

***question***

Are we bypassing our current PDIM module(2011)? The new console bundle does not have a connection for it: see picture:

Also, in the video's and pictures provided the USB connection between the MyLink and the new console cable bundle is different than what I've seen. Picture below:

Just trying to make this part clear as it's not exactly like the video and the PDIM connection isn't on the new set of cables. Do we just chunk it?

***answers***

The PDIM is no longer needed. Do with it what you wish.

Yeah, no need for PDIM with the new radio. New radio handles this now.
