Just walked out in the warehouse noticed there were a few Apex Motorsports Catch Cans staged for our afternoon UPS pickup! We can not thank you guys enough for the great response we have seen and look forward to continuing to expand the Apex product line.

May be a dumb question, but how necessary or how much of a benefit is a catch can? I got my SS in November and prior to that hadn't owned a sports car in over 10 years so the catch can thing is totally new to me! I'm trying to leave mine semi stock as to not void my warranty, but the more posts and pictures I see the more I want to do!

Here is the deal. GM and pretty much every other vehicle manufacturer recommends you come in about every 15000-20000 miles and pay the service department $150 or so to clean up all the crap that is building up in your intake manifold and on the valves. Very few people actually do it so what happens is that over time your fuel economy and performance both suffer.

Is it required? No, there are three options. 1) You can ignore it completely and just let your engine gunk up. 2) You can pay the service department to repeatedly clean up the mess. 3) You can invest in a good catch can to protect your engine and save you money.
