They're all SRE orders were talking about, not stock orders.
Yes but they have the right to "market adjustments" so when the car arrives, they just jack the price up 10K and say it's due to the current demand for the car. The person who ordered it balks and the dealer is free to sell it to someone else at an inflated price. The only reason it's not a scam is because it's legal. Should it be? Hell no!!!

No and no. I just have the battle scars from dealing with many members here who went through this stuff. Just conveying information based on what we learned. You can also read some of FBodfathers posts about franchise agreemnts and what a dealer is legally allowed to do.

Hylton,

Thanks for posting. I agree that members should really know the ins and outs of dealing with the dealership. I'll admit, I've spent this past week ecstatic that I found a good dealer, thanks to this forum.

I have also been on the warpath to steer members to dealers that will honor any discount you may have. There is no reason to pay over MSRP. The majority of us can qualify to pay less.

Two good dealers are: Rodgers Chevrolet in Michigan and Heritage Chevrolet in Warren VA. Both have availability. I ordered from Rodgers and was at 3000 within 24 hours. Heritage has 2 on the lot (2SS and 1SS) as of Thursday. They are a small town dealer that still knows what a handshake means.

Any member that can't find an msrp deal send PM and I'll put my OCD to good use.

By the way, I'm waiting to see the dealer's response to the disputed charge. Once this is complete and I have all info, I will post every detail so that hopefully another member can avoid it.
