Like I mentioned in your other thread, if you were only at 420rwhp your tune was probably in the low octane timing map.

Most likely the case. I just dropped off my car at ADM and the baseline was 420 as well. Bad gas most likely. Hoping for 600 RWHP when they are done :-) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

If your dealer goes through Lingenfelter they will customize any upgrade package any way you like. If you call Lingenfelter directly and talk to a rep they will let you know what all the options are. I kind of think that in your climate the Supercharger would have less heat issues if you used the Heartbeat blower and you may want to ask them about the stewart EMP water pump for the supercharger. Heartbeat is a pretty good jump in cost but the EMP pump would help whatever blower you have.
Lingenfelter is top notch with everything.

that was my question too, as I hear the auto's are rated quite a bit less in Hp. A good tune really does recover so much wasted engine power. I found that even though my upgrades should have killed my fuel mileage, the excellent tune I got from FSP, balanced it back out. I am getting an 15 mpg average. 2.55 upper pulley, id850, br7ef plugs, d3 reservoir, and dyno tuned. 530 rwhp

That just seems low even for an auto.

Not necessarily. Depends on the size of the upper pulley and that is a pretty modest list of mods. If it's an auto that means he probably gained anywhere from 70-90 hp. Would probably see a pretty nice gain if he let the engine breath with some headers too. |

My car is an automatic. I seem to remember through the years 15% was the accepted slippage in the torque converter. So with 580 hp being the flywheel estimate, when new, the ball park rwhp should be 493. Now we know the driveline gives up more than just tranny slippage so 475 seems to me to be very good estimate if the ECM is in 93 octane mode.

You are probably right
LPE tuner asked me if I wanted it tuned for 91 or 93 and I went with 93. Also my car had 35 miles on it when I bought it from the dealer. No idea what gas was in the tank initially. Also, I bought it during cold weather so I immediately shipped it to SW Florida and spent the winter down there breaking it in. Florida has the worst gas, I have found over the years all the vehicles I have taken to Florida have gotten their worst mpg while down there.
