SCT here 9.90's@140+ on a remote tune stock long block, baby cam, whipple with no weight mods other than wheels .

Congratulations on the 9.9.
This had nothing to do with how fast you can go with an SCT remote tune. Never said it wasn't a effective tuning solution.

Let me ask you this. How many vendors on here support SCT? I bet less than 5. Now how many support HPT. I bet it's around 90%. Even if you have no plans to tune the vehicle yourself for a couple bucks more HPT is a no-brainer.

How many SCT devices are for sale in the classified section per week? Lots

How many HPT suites do you ever see for sale? rare

I've got HP Tuners and I did a lot of reading, I am no where near to being a tuner, but I would use HP Tuner or EFI live before a handheld tuner, and if I would do it again I would get the Pro upgrade on the HP Tuner.
