you can keep the tires on. You need the proper tools to take the screws off though, like a ratchet and an extension for it. Just look at tools you have and what will fit behind your rear wheel and allow you to take the screw off and put it back on. I didn't have those type of tools and didn't want to go buy them, so I just used the jack in the trunk and removed one tire at a time and used a regular screwdriver. Takes a little more effort but I was able to take pics and clean behind the wheel liner with the wheel off.

Or did you just do it that way because the smooth side was more black and blended with your paint better?
Sorry for the late reply, idk why i don't get emails from this thread anymore. Reason i chose the textured side to face the tire is because rocks will hit this surface. If i had the darker and smoother side facing the wheel i thought it would essentially start becoming a rough side due to rocks hitting it and scratching it and likely discolor it. Also since i do have a black car it did blend in a lot better like you mentioned.

Debated this a lot myself haha, but i guess it's a preference which is why RPI didn't provide instructions.

wanted to say thanks for the pics at the beginning... I bought the ZL1 Kit for my 2010 2SS... then started the rear installs, thought they were completely wrong since only 1 screw hole lined up, decided to fab up some large metal washers to bridge the gap in the two remaining holes, then saw the pic where you tucked them under the existing plastic wheel/fender housing, then they secure up nicely!! Thanks again.

For the fronts, I didnt like the metal clips, seemed like they could scratch the fender paint.. in MI, that could lead to premature rust, so I used thin double sided foam take like that on the rear guards instead.

Did it without removing the rear tires, using a "bit", and the right sized 1/4" rachet+socket.

Hello I am new to the Camaro5 forum and although this is an older thread I was hoping for any input on which brand splash guards you guys are the happiest with. My wife has a new 2015 Camaro LT V6 and she wants splash guards rather than the protective film; any recommendation or advice you would give will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance,
Rudy
