Camero (I laugh every time I type that) count me as one of the fans of your decision with the SS front end. Both are absolutely beautiful, and I'd be fine with either, but I think the SS front is exactly what you would put on a higher end model. Larger front air dams are the natural indicator of a high-performance version in today's automotive styling language, and the larger lower lip extension gives a nice chin spoiler effect.

My only disappointment is the satellite fin. All along I have been urging patience, insisting what we have seen are only pre-pros, and certainly by production we'd see something more in line with what BMW, Honda/Acura, etc offeres, body colored and smoothly flowing. However, as it gets further along it gets harder to expect we will see better on the production model, and that is disappointing.

The mufflers don't bother me much, as I'm planning on going aftermarket too. However, having the stock mufflers so easily seen means any deviation from that look is harder to slip past the CARB-Nazis. I might have to go for a lower rear valance from the aftermarket to hide my misdeeds...

Anyway, HAPPY SATURDAY EVERYONE! Its like Christmas in June.

Stunning job GM. Good job staying true to the concept.

I'll wait for better pics before I pass judgment, but so far I don't like what I see. guess I'll have to get the car in black to hide that fugly bumper.

I apologize that this gave me any reason to question it.
I wasn't pointing any fingers; sorry I sounded like I was. :(

You were right to question; I would have, too. I just wanted to put that out there, because the pattern seemed to be key point in the discussion. I figured the fact that it could be found all over the car essencially 'debunked' it.

i posted this recrop of the original shot of the back in the other forum, for size comparison. the car in front of it was a mercedes 190e, the old baby benz. here's the dimension of the 190e i got from wikipedia: 66.1" width, 54.7" height

i'll post the original high res pix in my flickr later for those interested

VERY NICE

I don't understand why everyone is crying about the bumper. The opening is like an inch taller, and like and inch wider on each side, plus looks like it wants to eat you and your mustang! Bigger fogs too! The offical GM pics of the white pre pro say a the bottom Production model may vary so I was even expecting some kind of change.
Great job GM

Like, are some of you guys getting treatment for OCD? I personally like the clean lines and understated design. What i don't want to see is some stupid looking front bumper that looks like a 3800 pound catfish. Ricer Honda comes to mind. Spats and goofy spoilers hopefully will never touch this beautiful body. Classic design is clean and timeless. If you want a clown car go buy a late model Lancer EVO.
I hope the headlights will not have the cover, but they might be a cluster which includes the turn signals. Most cars are made that way today.
All i have to say is
