If it's creature comforts that makes or breaks it for you, this car was never meant for you. I love this car cause I don't like a bunch of creature comforts, I like simple and I would never buy a vette or gt3. Not saying they are not great cars, but they aren't for me, and that's why this Camaro is only for a small % of car enthusiasts.

You have to appreciate what this car has done and is going to do for muscle/sports (and even super) cars in the near future. That the Camaro is being mentioned in the same sentence as the vette, gt3 and numerous other much more expensive cars is awesome.
At 60K or around that price they are great and no arguing there. For me I am more on superchargers then NA. The 427 is a great NA motor. If you want a supercharger LS3 or LSA are the way to go. I am not big into creature comforts myself my 10 has heated seats over the z and that is really about it. . As for riding with Pdaft sub frames and suspension, coil overs and a roll cage from my own experience mine is actually stiffer.

I think what GM did on the z was great i just never liked their exclusivity. I mean I actually had to buy one just to order in the fender flares for my car. It was the dumbest thing i have ever had to do. Also, shortest time I have ever owned a camaro.

I can respond several different ways to your post but I'll sum it up by saying to each his own. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion.

I felt the same way and can understand macwest's issues, they just don't bother me like they bother him and I'm not here to argue. To each his own!

I also did a nationwide search on autotrader and it listed 395 actual cars on the lots with photos, which confirms they are not orders, they are on the lots. Some are still listed at or above MSRP. By the way, when is 395 cars a lot when looking at a nationwide actual dealer inventory? Also we are going into the spring and summer seasons, which could also mean higher performance vehicle sales.

"Dealer Predictions" also mean little to nothing to me, GM is in control of national sales events like the 20% end of the year and they set the rules, not dealers. Dealers had no clue this time last year that GM was going to do the event in December 2014.

GM may do another event like the 20% Year End, but it's simply just too early to tell, and it will include more than just Z/28's.
Cars.com still list 588 new cars, the numbers did not change much.

This niche is kind of rare period. Cadillac CTS-Vs far outnumber ZL1s here in the Tampa Bay area of FL. I have yet to see a Z/28 and I've seen 2 Z07 C7 Stingrays. I knew Z/28 was coming before they made it because GM is predictable. They had 1 designator and 1 engine left for Camaro. It needed to be done.

Once ZL1 knocked off the Boss Laguna Seca on a track Ford was in a bind. Then when Chevy hit them with a pure track car in Z/28 , they had to counter with Shelby GT 350-R.

Dollar for dollar I think ZL1 and Z/28 are the best all around buy you can get for the performance.

But like it was said earler, it is hard to move the top notch performance cars in this era just like the late 60s. They will be worth more because they are rare but people have to be commited to spend that much for performance.

I just purchased a 2015 Z28 which has some modifications performed by Redline Motorsports in Florida. Without a doubt one of the best handling and explosive acceleration of any car I've ever owned including cars 4X the price. General Motors nailed it !!

I really think the reason that there are many Used Z/28's is because most just wanted it because it was the Biggest star and All the Press , so some just wanted to the car for the attention. The only ppl keeping them is ppl that bought them for themselves .

Are the CTS-V's coupes or sedans?

I recently was looking at Z06's. Z06's are very in demand, and hard to find (especially the A8's). Anything build halfway desirable has a mark up.

One thing I found interesting is pretty much every Chevy dealer (right down to the smallest rural dealer) had a Z28 they were willing to sell at a huge discount. The one I bought our Z06 from had two and was in suburban Baltimore. They were not selling, so the owner is playing with one. The other the sales manager said had been on the showroom floor several months, and he had only opened the doors to show a customer 2-3 times.

The Z28 is an awesome car..but I do think even in limited numbers, it is being over produced for the market.

In my area there are several Z06's for sale and no Z/28's.

some people buy the car because it "looks cool", discover how raw it is, and decide it is not for them. Understandable, but it is an awesome track car so I can make concessions for the lack of creature comforts. If I were street driving more, I probably would swap out the R comp tires for something more street appropriate.
