Stock system didn't, but the stock system was soon replaced with slotted/drilled rotors then the squeeling began, even after I installed Ceramic pads.

So, I finally had enough and went on a mission to get rid of the squealing. I took my rotors to get turned and I was going to try on different brake pads until I was satisfied it was gone. It didn't take long... first set and no more squealing. Been a few years now.

Turn your rotors, get new pads... if needed, apply that anti-squeal stuff on the backside of your pads to minimize vibration. Good luck!

Mine do under light breaking instances, not no much during a panic stop

Could try lubricating the ways that the pads slide in, make sure if they have a backing plate that its not loose or resonating. 9 times out of 10 I clean up the tabs on the pads, scrape the paint off them, smooth them out, etc, that clears up the real loud squeals I think that is the tabs digging into the caliper when they vibrate.

Mine squeal under very light braking. They don't squeal under moderate or hard braking.

so far mine have been super quiet. but yes metallic pads can be noisy. nothing you can' fix with some nice Akebono ceramic pads. They don't have track stopping power but quiet and dust free.

Mine are silent... I think. My car is a bit loud, and I usually have the stereo cranked up pretty good.

You could always get a louder exhaust.

Not that this happened to you, but I know that if say cleaning wheels some detail spray gets on rotors... can cause pads to squeak.

I had the same problem as well. Went to the dealer and finally discovered that GM had put out a service bulletin to the dealers not to replace pads, etc. due to the squealing. I solved my issue like Riscouave did by switching to slotted rotors and ceramic pads.
