X25 I did my ZL1/carbotech setup right, used the above method and got them red hot and got a great 11 hour cool down. The rotors are now a blued steel look and are perfect, no fade, no heat, no squeal etc...

Here is a link to most questions regarding the change to the CTSV/ZL1 six pistons calipers on and SS.

First is 5 minutes of back to back 5-45-5mph runs without coming to a complete stop, nor locking them up. then comes 15 minutes(or until serious brake fade starts) of 5-75-5mph runs back to back braking as hard as possible without lockup or coming to a complete stop, at the end your brakes will be smoking hot, then drive home without using the brakes if possible and let cool overnight DO NOT APPLY PARKING BRAKE.....

Well, burnishing happens at the track regardless, and it's not as crucial as would be the case for carbon ceramic brakes. In other words, it still holds pretty well, and 90% of performance with race pads is more than enough at the street, and street pads require much less bedding anyway. Still, if you have access to a road like that, why not
Thanks for all the advice guys. It is appreciated. I need to find time to go out and do some burnishing. I've been driving the car a lot more so the initial burning procedure is probably not needed according to the owners manual (says if there are more than 200 miles on the brakes you can skip to the second step). I do live out in the country where roads would be pretty empty at night but finding one long enough to do the complete procedure without having to make any stops or turns first will be the hard part.

I've done a few hard stops in a row when initially testing them and I can say that I could definitely feel the G's. Looks like I need to really think about where I can go to have roads all by myself that are long enough to do this and without drawing attention of the people living near the road or the police!
