CAmaro vs 2010 Mustang 427r

For me the Camaro Vs Mustang is not just about performance. As a long time Mustang owner. First car was a 65 Mustang V8, 2nd was a 94 GT built with 670 HP, 3rd was a 93 Cobra it was hard for me to jump to the Chevy camp.

There was one reason I did.... have you looked at the newest Mustang.... seriously WTF was Ford thinking. The a$$ of that car has to be the strangest rear end on a car. It could be 2 seconds faster but it will never look as awesome as the current Camaro. My wife and I both love Mustangs but the current styling is major Poo from Ford. That along makes the Camaro a win for me.

Did you totally ignore the posters question. he asked for an opinion on a specfific car and it's price he didn't start ranting and raving about versus this and that.

+50lbs heavier already discussed to death on most mustang forums and guys with inside lines to ford. re-inforcements wont be HUGE they are already safe and 5 star all around, heavier doesn't always mean stronger.

If the new 427r is anything like the previous one it's going to blow. The end of last year there was one at the track, bone stock it ET'd and MPH'd about the same as a light bolt-on 4th gen. I was looking forward to running it but when I saw what it put down there was no point.

My friend has a 08 ROUSH 427R AUTO and bone stock runs 12.7's all day long.

with a more aggressive tune he should hit 12.2-12.3's

you know if i was just in for a car to have fun in i would have done the mustang roush. but i wanted the camaro cause it was different and people loved it. right now mustangs over populated see them left and right. maybe one day if i test drive the stang i might trade up or down how ever you see it

yes yes, im aware of that, and its not the star rating, the legislation says that it must have X amount of reinforcements in spots A, B, and C for example.
i read the article a while back, and i havent looked for it again, so no citation, and if im wrong, my bad.

In other news, FINALLY saw a GT500 2010 up close and personal. Was at our towers meet on Friday. All I could say was dam..... 20's on it, and lol a 75 shot of the giggle juice. (Though I really think it was more...2 jugs in the trunk) and a Steeda CIA..the stock one is baffled. (Ninja edit) 625@the wheels.....nothing else touched.

They have had a couple at our local dealer for a while...honestly I might pick one up. Nicest car for 40-50k I can think of.

Orb he is a person who recognize a good car regardless who it was made by.
