Somebody said their V6 gets 410 miles to the tank, he either meant 310 or is making things up. The V6 got near 300 for me but not more than that. It also runs out quick.
My economy car dd doesn't get anywhere near 410 miles a tank.[/QUOTE]

I just drove 300 plus highway miles to the Camarofest and did it on just under half a tank (MPG 29.7) running about 77 MPH on cruise most of the way... I took a 592 mile road trip a few months ago and my MPG was 30.2 for the trip so yes, if you drive smart and not like a madman, you can easily get almost 25-30 MPG in the V6... Even just regular everyday driving I can usually get about 25 MPG so it is possible... I am 55 years old and my reckless driving days are way behind me, I'll save the fun times for the track and autocross!!!

Where I live the cheapest gas is $1.92/gallon for 87 octane so filling up is about $36.

I was babying my V6 since it was still in break in period. And managed 21 mpg in almost exclusively city driving with stop and go. If you drive 65mph on the highway maybe you can manage 30mpg. In city 25mpg doesn't sound possible.

I was going to start asking why gas would be $5.00 a gallon until I realized this thread is like half a decade old. Man, it pays to proof read.

Best I've managed in the city is about 22. Any kind of stop and go will kill your mileage pretty swiftly

I use only 10-12 gallons/week. 93 is like $2.35. I fill up every Friday at only 23-25 dollars. Best I ever got on a road trip was 26 mpg. Not too bad for 426 hp...

Well here is what mine does. 2011 1SS/RS 400 6.2 Auto. Mods CAI CNC throttle body. Doug Thorley ceramic headers Flowmaster 409 Thunder exhaust. JBA High Flow cats w/x pipe. & had AFM. I was getting 14.3 mpg. Went and had a tune at New Ara. he took the AFM management out of it so runs on all 8 now. I couldn't be happier. I run sport mode 100% of the time never use 1st gear. And I don't baby the Camaro. Since the tune I'm averaging 19.7. Best I've done is 370 miles before re-fuel

I tried an experiment this weekend. To start with I have 650 rwhp. I normally get 10-12 mpg. I filled up Saturday morning and drove around with about a 50/50 mix of highway and city driving shifting below 2500 rpms. I was surprised when I refilled it today after almost 300 miles. I got nearly 18 mpg. I guess how you drive really does matter.

It was a good weekend for the experiment, gas was only $2.26 for 93 octane in DFW.
