The Katech Torquer LS3 uses aggressive cam lobes but the lift is not monster. With only 581 / .601 lift this is a very ideal for the race track.
I've been meticulously looking for a road course/daily driver cam. I want to make sure the cam I get has broad power band/torque.

Anyone on this forum have the katech torquer ls3 cam installed? I dont think ive seen any reviews of it.

Just one guy with heads, I found a LoT more I for on the corvette forums for track cam options but there are a few older threads here. Cam motion cams seem to be very popular right now over comp cams and lot of custom cam guys are recommending them.

I made the magical 500 RWHP with the modifications listed in my signature.
Regardless on what the DYNO numbers are you won't be disappointed on how well your 1LE will performs and sounds with the modifications you listed.
I always smile every time I start my car!

I just checked it out and the R2 cam. Looks to have 10.5 degrees of overlap, how are lo rpms/idle, any surging? The GT14 cam has just -1 degree of overlap which should be a little smoother down low. I'm no expert.

There's a little bit of surge with the Livernois 2R Maxx below 1700 RPMs when cruising on the highway but it's acceptable for how I use my car.
70 MPH on cruise is fine in 6th gear FYI

Looks through and doing some searching isn't getting me the answer I need on the following question.

Who is the best at tuning the LS3 with supporting mods? I'd have no problem shipping the ECU out, but just wanted to check and see what the general concencus was on this. I have a local shop that I can utilize as well, but I don't want to count on that outlet.

Thanks!

I have gone back and forth between the ECS kit which is on my Vette currently or the AGP TT kit. I am more of a roll race and highway play kind of guy. I will do the odd track day on the road course. Never gonna see the drag strip so for me its all about boost vs the HCI setup.

For the occasional track day and a fun street car. I would do the ECS kit with a nice cam, fuel injectors and tune. Will easily make over 500whp on low boost and be tractable in all gears.

This is my current goal as well. I just paid for parts last week, now just waiting for the e-mail they are in and the day I drop her off. I my self track(road course) my car regularly I contacted Cunningham Motorsports to do my build. They are doing their custom grind stage 2 cam paired with West Coast Cylinder Heads stage 2 package. Smaller cam for the drivability on track. And all supporting upgrades as well, oil pump, dual springs, head bolts, etc...

Should get me around the 500rwhp mark. I currently only have CAI and Kooks LT's with high flows. Hopefully she goes in in the next couple weeks and I can report back numbers when done.

You dont have to ship your ECU out. You need to find a well known and respected tuner (not necessarily a shop, as they can change tuners) to tune your car on a dyno.

The tuner will depend on your area, unless you are willing to travel. Some do remote tunes but the remote tunes wont be as spot on as the actual dyno/street tune.
