Uhhh, no. An engine is a machine with moving parts that converts power to motion. A motor is a machine (steam, electric or internal combustion) that provides motive power to a vehicle or tool. A motor is a type of engine, but is not defined by its source of power. For example, a water-powered mill is an engine but not a motor. Don't confuse common vernacular with a definition.

If you add nitrous to the formula you'll pass me up. We thought about that to get it past that 40 mph barrier since it shouldn't appear to be more air flow. I'll be interested to see how that turns out.

CircleD torque converter came in today. I ordered it through Aaron at Gwatney. It's the billet triple disc in a 2E. Not that anyone will ever see it but this thing looks really cool. Toughest looking converter I've ever seen that's for sure. Can't wait to test this baby out.

Yeah I've been thinking a lot about that. I think it could really help with the launch, I mean look at these nitrous cars and thier 60ft. times. Just have it on a button and spray for that first 2secs while launching. Sounds good anyway. I should prob wait though and make some 1/4 mile passes before deciding.

Got my transmission cooler today, it's bigger than I thought by the dimensions. I figured dimensions were of everything but it's just the core of it not the fittings and mounting ears. Its big but I still think it will fit. I'll have to remount the intercooler and radiator/condenser and see what I can come up with.

Just a note on NOS on a turbo LLT/LFX build. I have a twin turbo LLT. It's a daily driver with 4200 stall converter, 4.88 gears and my own engineered sequential turbo system that uses (1) turbo for lower power levels and cruise and the 2nd turbo spools for all out power. I can come off the line without power braking at 2-3 PSI boost levels. About 2 years ago, I installed the ZEX NOS system with a 55HP shot and I designed a controller that utilizes it for WOT from a standing start and when the boost level reaches 6PSI, it automatically shuts off. That way, it is safe on a setup with FI. The system is great and the real payoff is that I get a ton of time from a tank of NOS due to the on time being less than 4 or 5 seconds. The car is a beast. This is how I would recommend setting up your NOS on your project. Keep it safe because the turbos are going to do most of the work. I have 35,000 miles on my project and never a problem except for an aftermarket cat failure. I drive the car everyday and it is awesome and fast.

Your project looks awesome and should put your over the top when it comes to HP. Great job! Should make a interesting project.
