We can only hope we don't ever have to go through what the OP is having to go through. Lots of bread crumbs left everywhere. Best decision is to keep his mouth shut and keeping cleaning those bread crumbs. Not enough information is good in this case.

Here's a sample of something possibly related to the op's problem...
http://www.leginfo.ca.gov/cgi-bin/di...file=9990-9993 Frame damage has many aspects....they aren't always a dooms-day scenario....most of the language applies to dealers selling to customers....(but it probably goes the other way as well)... Just from what I have seen so far, holes in a frame technically are damaging, but unless they actually are from an accident and a formula for dollar damage percentage is met, it's a non-issue....You must disclose damage from accidents that are over a certain dollar amount....Holes in a frame not from an accident, or trying to repair damage, aren't necessarily a deal killer... Plus, what really is the "frame" on cars nowadays....Unibody?...Platform?...It's a mixed bag. The op was told his car was raced hard by the dealer....Only if a raced car was not street legal would there be a problem... All above just speculation on my part....It would be interesting to hear the outcome... Many members track their cars with roll-bars and I've never heard of it as being a problem in the future with selling the cars...Anyway, it's an interesting "issue"... |

Considering all the threads started by the OP, his car was highly modified.

I'd keep the money and let the dealership make the next move. Until you've been court order served, it's all just drama. If....If...they take it that far then make a decision.

Did he swear his Camaro was only driven to Church on Sundays by a little old lady?
The dealer had a chance to turn him down twice before from their own inspections of his car.... Hiding unreported or undisclosed frame damage could be considered fraud....(if that is even applicable) The rest of the mods?....buyer beware. Why else would they inspect and appraise it beforehand?... We don't know all the details, but I wouldn't demonize the op because he had previously modded his car. |

Sorry for the delay getting back on here, their is nothing shady or fishy about the deal on my side. I was asked to sign paperwork stating if there has been any modifications that would void the warranty and I declined to sign the paper due to being aftermarket parts on the car. At this point I am trying to get in contact with someone that can tell me if these roll bar holes are considered "frame damage" and would warrant the car being branded a "Salvage title", I also contacted the couple companies that make bolt in roll bars for our car and they all stated they would find it very hard to believe that bolting a cage into the car would cause a salvage title.

Not really. If you look at the "last edited date", he asks for deletions as things are sold. Some deletion requests go back well over a year.
