I agree. Just making the point, that it did not effect the entire state.

K&N Typhoon - Air Intake System

K&N Blackhawk Induction #280061230

BBK Chrome CAI #1835

Cold Air Inductions CAI #501-1036

Car is in storage because of this weather. April will be here soon.
Very simple.

- Any model with_a_ scoop for a Go-Car.

- Choose your poison for a Show-Car.

Scoop includes OTR designs as well, I consider its front design a scoop as well ; ).

Is your ride a go-car or show-car?

Grey Zone end users, those who tread in the middle , show-car supercedes go-car-ness. Choose your poison if you belong to Grey Zone : ).

I didn't add Grey Zone as a 3rd option in my post above, as I figured that was obvious.

4 or more trips to the dragstrip each summer with weekly cruise night makes me both. Should be even more go come spring......but still looking like a million bucks. Dont fit in to the all sizzle no steak catagory.

Still "choose your poison" applies.

But as you travel in your journeys towards the Go-Car zone, always apply the theory of meeting your exact twin genetically speaking. Reaction times, psychology, everything.

To answer your question therefore, yes, the twin with the scoop would win .

On a side note, this_is_why I don't believe in road rage....because sooner or later, you will meet your twin, your equal ; ) , and that will be the day of reckoning for both.

Thanks for all of your input. As I have been trying to educate myself with all your help I found this item.
AFE CAI #51-12022. Anyone have this or has anyone heard good or bad?
Uses the same filter used by Roto-Fab.
Thanks!

Heh, ugly? Yeah, probably... but when it comes to what's under the hood, I'm less concerned about looks and more concentrated on performance. My MPG also improved... not that that matters...

I will back the Blackhawk as well. Love the look it made under my hood. The filter is super easy to clean as well.

First, I bought the chrome and paid extra for it. I don't know what I was thinking. I should have gotten the black.

Next, the top cover has these awful spring-loaded allen screws that flip flop around while you're trying to get them to engage and tighten. Scratched my box when the allen key slipped out of the screw due to the instability.

While I do like the throaty sound of the intake, I feel that the box rattles when you're at WOT or close to it. Again, I think its those awful fasteners on the lid that contribute to that.

The intake pipe requires that the MAF sensor points straight up. I spent alot of time that first day making sure it didn't scrape the underside of the hood when closed. It doesn't, but still not a fan of that design.

Just my opinions. It's an expensive piece compared to the other options out there, and I thought it could have been better.
I have a CAI on mine and love it. I don't see how the MAF sensor points straight up. Not on mine or the one on page 2 of this thread. Something wrong with the way you put it in I would guess. My MAF sensor is coming out of the side of the Chrome air intake pipe.

The intake pipe is ok on the V8. I have a V6, which is what the OP has as well.
