ETA: I checked and they only lower it by 1/4" and I don't think that is enough to save the wiper. Last edited by blake-b; 03-10-2017 at 05:00 PM. |

Holley Sniper is a large ( ish ) plenum short runner "sheet metal" intake. It would never fall into the category of a low rpm intake.

We mostly run carb style with 90. Sprays the meth pretty even. Have done the Holley midrise by lowering front frame 1/2" and cutting motor mounts 1/2". Fits under hood, cowl. We don't run the FAST on any build.

Just saying lower RPM compared to the hi ram design.

if anything, I'd say the opposite.
The HiRam would probably perform better over a wider range than the sniper, simply as the HiRam has longer runners. Although they're still not long overall. But both will definitely favour higher rpm usage. |

The above comments are true but a bit less important once into boost. Ana makes a huge difference.

If it gains n/a, it will gain with boost. Although yes if it was poor n/a...boost could make up for a lot of that loss. It would be nice if someone did some proper back to back tests on a boosted setup with a few intakes. Unlikely it'll happen, as such tests n/a seem very hard to come by ! The only good n/a I seen was that cathedral intake test that appeared some months ago where they tested 20 intakes back to back. |

yea a back to back boosted test would be great!.... seems there is a big gap for intakes... the nicer ones move the power way up to 7000-8000.... ie.. high ram..... so what is the best for a car that limits at 7000....
i may end up staying with lsxr since i have it already and has proved pretty good for hp and also track times... doing pretty good for being a 4450 race weight and will be hitting 8.9 most likely this spring... just would like more pc of mind...
