The trailblazer SS has a 1SS and a 2SS trim option

The Z06 has 3 trim levels...1LZ, 2LZ, and 3LZ, Corvette coupes have 4...convertibles have 3 (4 in 09)...

It's just a method GM uses to try to please everyone. This way, it's easier to get just what you want and not much more.
well i definately want all the performance but i want all the goodies to go with it. minus the sunroof.

Very cool, and I know what you mean, trying to sort through the contradictions is crazy, I would love the two tone similar to the vette...With the SS logos embroidered, would be very cool....

Searched it for Nashville and even "TN" earlier today and no dice. The search continues.

I believe it was stated, that there will be a B4C package.

And the news on a Bumblebee Package is great too! I know a lot of people want the new Camaro dressed just like Bumblebee!

I went to my local Chevy Dealer today - and unbelievably (to me) the salesman did not watch or participate in the IDL. He knew almost nothing about the Camaro and asked me when the Dealers would be able to start taking orders. I discussed with him again about his previous statement (six months ago) to me that their dealership does not markup ANY cars and they would not markup the Camaro. Well, he started backtracking today and stated if soemone will pay more, well....

I'm now buying my 'Maro 100 miles away from a dealership where I received a promise from the "Owner" that they will not and have never put a premium on the costs.

Lessons learned:

- It is a 2010

- BUMBLEBEE PACK coming - details sooner to release

- 21st Century Sports car going up against Us and imports

- POLICE PACKAGE in the works

- Best of the old & new

- head up & backup assist coming 12/09

- exhaust tones - More impressive than a vette IMO!

- NO PRICING, will be announced later this year

- Ordering info December 2008, with first rounds going in Jan 2009

- Fixed mirrors, not breakaway

- Dual stripe factory installed on White & cyber gray...AND available as a dealer installed accessory

- 80-100,000 cars per year

- competition & sport modes on the SS for launch control

- ambient lighting a part of the leather interior package

- RS gets you halo's and HID's, spoiler & darkend taillamps 20" wheels even on V6

- 1LT has remote start AS AN OPTION...not available on man trans cars

Production to officially start 2/16/2009
A Bumblebee pack sounds good. Does this mean Valspar Sunrise paint as an option and painted metallic black stripes If this is for the rally yellow with black vinyl I will have to pass on this...

I, too, would like to know just what the Bumblebee package means. Can anyone elaborate?

I find this to be disappointing, but I can get over it since I don't live in the city anymore.

Well maybe they need to make up for brand image
But I went to the dealer 2 days ago and could not get any info on a Cobalt sport. The guy told me it had 4 speakers....when it has a premium pioneer 7 speaker system. He also couldn't tell me the horsepower output, and told me he wasn't sure if a Cobalt SS would match up with a V6 Mustang
Also at the BMW Dealer the guy tried to sell me a USED 2006 MINIs for 27,400. It was a fully loaded S...but I could moderately equip a new one for that price.
Salesmen bother me...I hope I can become one when i get into college. I've heard it pays well if you put in good work

It is not something you want for personal use.

Typically the interior is a the hard cheap plastic to withstand liquids/debris/additional wear and tear. They arent typically equipped with any sirens, lights, or wiring. That is set up through the agency and their agencies garage (at least thats how we run it).

The only thing the police package offers in my experience is the hard plastic passenger compartment for prisoner transport and cheap but durable plastic interior. It may be a V8 with trany cooler, suspension upgrade, and sport tires....that is essentially the majority of the package. It is kinda humorous that some people think POLICE PACKAGE and assume it has all these bells and whistles. The camaro may be an exception because it is a 2door coupe and is not designed for prisoner transport.. but the impala only offers the police package in the V6....You can go to chevy.com and select the police package there to get some ideas.....again, not something you want for everyday use in your own life. The 4th gens that are still running around in Florida are made specifically for aggressive driving enforcement...if an arrest is the outcome of the traffic stop that trooper calls for a sector unit to transport...he does not transport.

Hope this helps.
Most dealerships (in florida) require identification if you purchase the strobe lighting. We typically purchase our top deck and interior lights from a police supplier.....cheaper and uniform to all other cars in the agency regardless of make if we use the same equipment....dealerships always change their product

The IDL was painful for many of us....For those of us that have been a fan of the car and these forums, most of it was old news. So all the questions showed many people (sales staff) never even checked out the car in advance. Maybe out of love for the Cobalt or Aveo? I'm not sure. But we did gather new tidbits and they got posted up.
