[QUOTE=sigma_1966;986716]Went to the dealership today to have my windshield replaced. They have been looking for snow tires for my car. I have a 2LT with RS. Dealership tells me that i CANNOT go to down to a size 18.
.........Maybe he thought you car was a SS..... Don't ask him for anymore advice.............![]() Go with the 18's if that is what you would like. I see you did get good advice here from other members................ PS ....On my last Gen.4 Z28 Camaro I put on 4-narrow width Bridgestone Blizzak's just for the the winter and they were GREAT in the snow. Going around a turn you really feel them keeping the car where it should be (no slipping front or back). You can get 18" steel LS rims. Try Ebay seen them for $600-$700. a set of 4with tires & presure sensors. Just the rims for app.$200.for 4, or buy cheap after market rims for under $100.ea.

Our winters here are not that severe, but we do have lots of cold and wet (not much snow or ice, really). It IS too bad for the summer tires, though, I think. I have a 2LT RS but I bought a set of the polished LT 19" wheels with the all-season Pirellis. I'm going to install those for all-the-time and sell the 20".

I did the same thing, but I didn't sell the 20" ones yet. I did it for a different reason, because I like the look of the polished 19" wheels better. BTW...The 20" P Zero's summer's have a treadwear of 220 The 19" All-season's have a treadwear of 400

I went with Bridgestone Blizzak LM-60s on new 20" rims from Tirerack - see this thread for details - http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showthread.php?t=41966

If you go 18' rims you will need 225 60 R18 tires to keep same height as RS option 20' stock wheels with P zeros, if so equipped that way...
