The first time I saw Thor was at the 2009 new car show in Cleveland. It was a cold and snowy day in early March. He was parked right next to John's car behind the IX center. The next time was at the 2009 NEOCC camaro show at Summit Racing. It was Sunday morning of the show and I was walking back to where I was set up taking pictures. I said to Scott, now I can get somemore pictures of Thor. Scott tosses me the keys and says "move him werever you want" If you attend the show, you might have seen me as I was the photographer set up in the back using the green screen. For the little while I got to drive him around the parking lot was an absolute joy. Thanks Scott! I'm still working on those pictures for you of Thor.
As you told us many times "keep the faith". I hope everything lines up and you find a way to get him back.

Scott, very moving posts.
The 2010 Camaro is an awesome car. I have not felt this good about owning a new car since my 1977 Camaro which was my first. I feel 19 all over again. Thanks to everyone involved in bringing the Camaro back to life! Thor and Scott will always hold a special place of honor in my garage. |

You put that feeling I get every day when I go to the garage into words perfectly. I have never had a car like this before. Thank you for sharing the passion and the inspiration with all of us. I hope you enjoy the new one, but it's great to see how Thor will always have a spot in your memories!

Scott if you ever leave GM , you should look into being a writer. Via con Dios Thor. Um can I ask what happens at the Milford site?

Fbodfather, I must say, that reading your post has really touched me. I know the bond a guy can form with his car. I've only had my lovely little Grape Ape for 3 months, but I know that if anything were to happen to her, I'd probably cry.
Maybe that's why I feel so touched. Because I can almost sympathize with that kind of pain. There's never a limit to how much joy a car can bring to your life, and I can tell you really care for Thor. I may have only been around this site for two months, give or take, but I can honestly say that somebody who feels that way about his car is man I can look at straight in the eye, and say with the utmost confidence, "Sir, I respect you." I would like to a bid a happy farewell to Thor. I might be too late, but let it be known that Thor was a good car, and you are a good man. Let him forever be in the minds of others and yours, and he'll live on in spirit.

Dont feel bad man. I rented the Camaro back in June for a weekend. When I went back to Avis to return it, I felt like my heart was broken and i had separation anxiety. I literally stayed up without sleep for the next few months waiting for mine to come in, sometimes waking up in the middle of the night excited thinking I already had it. It was pure hell. I been through Iraq and back and it didn't compare to the wait i endured for my baby to arrive to me. Good bye Thor, let the legend live on.

I can’t imagine what you are feeling. I have never been much of a “car guy”. I had a car liked my car took care of it but it was just used to get me from point to point, I mean is is “just a car”. Then I saw the concept and I was in love, then transformers! Then I order on 10/14 and picked up my 1SS on 6/12. Talking to my salesman he said I first contacted him on 6/24/2008, yea I had a problem.
I talked about the 5th gen so much my wife tried to ban 5th talk from the house. Of course by time we picked the car up she was excited as I was, and was giving the salesmen stats! We get in the car and I can’t believe it is real, my wife keeps saying wow I can’t believe what you get for the money, and she drive an F-150 but I still love her. I drive her home and the perma grin starts, as do the highway stalkers. Now my wife tries to get my to drive the jeep so she can drive the Camaro. Been almost 4 months and 4,000 miles and I could not even fathom having to give up my car!
