Then it reads ten deg. lower for some reason.
Quick science experiment:
Place a damp towel that's at air temperature over the end of a standard glass thermometer. Attatch a string to one end and swing the thermometer through the air. The temperature will decrease. This is one way of measuring dew point.

Back to the Camaro, I bet the sensor got wet when you washed the car. That's why the temp is 10 degrees lower...you're measuring dew point.

from what I can tell mine seems to be right on the money, no more than a couple degrees off and that is rare

Behind the grill on the passenger side right in front of the radiator. It's about 3/4 of the way down.

I was watching the news the other night and they literally said "Tonight's low is 24 and the current temp is 18" . I can see them messing up the forecast.... but the post-cast?

37 deg is the magic number for the snow/ice warning to come on. Actually a lil bit annoying if the temps hover near there, and it appears repeatedly on the same drive.

Cold is COLD!

I think warm air comes out the cowl(back of hood) & effects the thermometer. Not sure where it is, but on a 110 degree day here in So.Cal it was reading 124! Went up at slower speeds.

Mine read 118 on the way home from the dealer yesterday (new Ragtop) but I know it was only 97 outside. Could it be the ground effects package with grill is blocking some air cause my 2011 SS was right on the $$$ everyday
