Why do you wish you would have removed the resonators?

I have an L99 which has a HUGE resonator. My buddy has done a few full exhausts on 6-speed cars so we put one of those under my car and reused my tips on a muffler delete. Sounds bad ass and was free.

I would also just feel him out on his recommendations for your setup since he has sold and dealt with many of these.

Hey TSquared....which x-pipe did you use? Was it the Tru-X type or the muffler/resonated type?
Hey Caverman,... I'm sorry I just now saw this post here, I checked the posts this afternoon but i must have missed what you wrote about checking with JDP Motorsports about the X-Pipe. I was just talking to him too about the 5" Tips that are Sold on Magnaflow Pro Comp System to see if they sold the tips, It never crossed my mind to ask him about the X-Pipe for some reason.

I went ahead and ordered the X-Pipe and AirAid Intake this evening too, I had spent pretty much all of last night and most of today reading about Intake Systems trying to decide on which one to get that my mind was blown, I think that might have something to do with why I may have missed your post, I had read enough Positive things about the Muffler Delete and Re-Using the Stock Tips that I felt happy enough about doing that.

Thanks BTW for the "Tip" about having the Tips Moved Out about an Inch Also so that Now you can see the tips. That sounds like something worth doing myself when i have all of this done.

"Anyone Here" Happen to have a Video of their Muffler Delete System With X-Pipe and Resonators Removed?

It seems like all of the Videos I found all have their Resonators on or they dont say.

Me for one,... I'm going to have mine removed FOR SURE!!
All of the Muffler Delete System Videos I watched, They all sounded Bad Ass and having the Resonators removed has Got to Add More IN YOUR FACE to it and if later on I dont like it i'll get the Borla S-Type Mufflers.

Superchips is Finally Releasing the Cortex 2950 Tuner so hopefully i'll be able to save my money up for one of those next even though a Dyno Tune would be better, Actually,.. I dont know about that yet, I might get the Dyno Tune as long as i can get my original stock tune and programed tune so when i go to the dealership i can put the stock tune back on and re-tune it when i get home again,... We'll see.

Hey Legend Thats A Bad Ass Hood You Have There Bud.
I've seen a couple places selling that hood, Where did you buy yours at?
I'm interested in the Ram Air Hood myself.

When i had my Shaker Hood Painted for my Dakota it cost me about $600 Bucks, I also used a different color for the Shaker Scoop though, If you dont mind,... What did it cost you to get your hood painted to match your car?

So,.. Anyway, Is Muffler Delete with X-Pipe and Resonators gone what your Running also?

I kept mine on the old mufflers. I ordered up Magnaflow tips that look identical and have an extra half inch. I had flanges put on everything so I can swap back to stock in 10 minutes.
Magnafow tip. I can get the part # if anyone needs it.

Heres an undershot.

Nice Tips. What Size are those?

Yes,.. What are the Part Number to those ^ Tips Please?

What do you mean you had Flanges put on them? You mean the where they go on the Pipe Spread out so they slip on the pipe?
Also,.. How do you get your Images to be a smaller size than they really are when you post them in a thread like this? Mine are always full size images.

heres mine with 5" straight edge dual wall tips. i also had the tips extended out a little from the diffuser. ive seen one diffuser melt with bigger tips and i think it looks better. I love the muffler delete. sure its nothing to brag about for not throwing down 1k for full exhaust. but for sound its awesome!

These are what Thumper put on his car. They are only 2.25" inlets but I think you can have them stretched out just enough to get them on the 2.5" pipes.

JDP Motorsports has a great price on these and the #11386 x-pipe. I think I might just spend the little bit extra to buy those tips. Even though factory ones look good and would work I think these will look even better.

Talked to the muffler guy briefly and he said it might be around $100 to put in the x-pipe. Just depends on the amount of pipe that has to be added.

So here is what I think I'm going to do now. Magnaflow #11386 and the #35164 tips (~$160), Muffler delete ($80), install X-pipe and remove resonators (~$100)....about $350-$375 total.
