Will do. I've heard a few things about them, but for the most part, I've only heard good things. It's just one of those things you have to try out for yourself I guess.

Wow that was fast
I'm looking forward to the results. Drivability as well as dyno. I just ordered the C.A.I. System and it will be here thursday. I hope I made the right choice for my daily driver. I will say the vararam seems like a celebrity among intakes. So again I'd like honest real world driving. Not just the dyno. I hope it lives up to the hype as I may upgrade to it one day.

If it can get me 30 hp, I'll be happy -- even though they claim more.

30hp is a large order IMO for just an intake. We shall see. Are you planning on a before and after dyno with just the intake. Or are u gonna do before stock and after with headers, intake, and tune?

Long tube Headers, High flow Cats, CAI, and custom tune give 40 consistantly. 25 from the headers 10 from the cai and 5 from the tune.

I used to be Dragoneye...

I forget...did you folks test the Vararam? They're promising at least 20hp no tune over factory stock (and 3tenths in the quarter)...and I can't remember if they were included in your testing.

Doesnt Vector Motorsports have some No Tune units? maybe they can do a baseline and then a VR run on their dyno

They have a performance guarantee. If it turns out to be crap, I'll be sending it back. I can make my own and make 10 hp.

2.5 tenths and 2 MPH increase ~20WHP gain however his car was not stock and he was using a tune with each intake. I am with Ted. On a stock car with no mods/tune, I would say 15-18HP increase. No better than any of the other good CAI's on the market. I would love to see someone do a before and after dyno on an otherwise stock car with the Vararam. On the flip side, the Halltech unit has shown significant improvements in HP increases when mods are added compared with other CAI's. One of the Nickey cars saw a 30HP increase just by swapping the Airaid CAI with the Halltech alone. Seems the most responsive. |

I will be doing a dyno with the vararam and a corsa exhaust. Then I'll be doing a dyno with the vararam, corsa and then the kooks long tubes. I'll share the numbers once everything arrives and I get a chance to install.
