I love the Hertz. I listened to quite a few Alpine, JL Audio, Focals, Dynaudio, MB Quarts and others. I even went to three Hertz dealers just to see if I still migrated back, and I did. Every time the Hertz HSK 165s sounded the best to my ears. The only exception was the HSK 165 XLs, but my local dealer didn't carry them and I was too impatient to wait the 2 weeks to go back to the one that did carry it (4 hour drive north of my house).

The Hertz's have amazing highs. I can hear the singer exhale, guitarist slide his fingers across the frets, and the stick hit the high hat. I like bright, accurate highs, that aren't overly harsh (e.g. listening fatigue inducing highs that "harsh on your melon" I also noticed that afterwards, when they asked which ones I liked, all three dealers said, "Yeah, those are the ones I run in my car." The Hertz Milles sound good too, and with certain amps/CDs sound better, but I found the HSKs had better off-axis imaging. Meaning, in my car I'd have to lower my head down, next to the center console, for them to sound better. Just driving around, sitting up, you're well above the neutral center point (which would be on-axis).

Long story short: In a practical car audio situations, the HSKs will sound best in more cases.

Pics are at home on my home computer (I looked when I posted this reply), however, I do have it in my video.

Fast forward to 14 minutes and 37 seconds into this 15 minute video and you'll see a few seconds footage of where I've described putting the crossover. In one door I physically double adhesive attached it, and the other door I literally just placed it in there. Neither side rattles with BA amp turned all the way up. I haven't gotten my system dialed in yet to see if 100 watts per channel from a PPI A404 rattles.

The tweeter jumpers are not needed if you are switching out the rear speakers. But I understand this is tough job to get the old speakers out.

You already have the X3 Harness, you will still need the x2. When you order this kit you can deselect the x3. See below.

You have to remember the factory speaker impedance is 2ohms. This means it is going to place more resistance on the amplifier. You have to make sure any amp you purchase can handle a 2ohm load at each channel. You will also want something to clean the signal up from the factory head unit to the amplifier. The signal coming out of the factory head units can sometimes be crossed over and also weak since there is no RCA out put. There are many devices on the market to help in this area. I am with everyone else, replacing the speakers and the amplifier all together would be your best bet. This way everything can be matched level wise and will sound cleaner. Sometimes adding a subwoofer to your factory system can help sound quality out. Many people are just missing that rear fill.

Let me know if you have any questions and i will be glad to help out.
