I have an 2LT/RS and I hear the rattle in the center vents and when I turn the blower motor off and back on slowly it goes away, or it has so far. That might be something in a servo not working fully.

On mine the 'rattle' is the automatic shifter area. Specifically the black plastic scales that cover the area where the shifter can move through. Other than that I havent found any dash rattles.

I took the car to the dealer and they kept it for almost 3 weeks before telling me that they cannot figure out where the sound is coming from.

I advised them of the service bulletin for the gurgling/rice crispy sound and they fixed that. They also told me there was a service bulletin for a loose cowling and windshield moulding. They removed my windshield, secured the cowling and replaced the window moulding. My service advisor told me that he taped every part imaginable and was not able to locate the source of the sound.

Eventually he was told my GM and his manager that since the sound is only heard at speeds above 80 MPH there is nothing more that can be done until the sounds gets worse and they can locate it without driving at that high of a speed.

I wanted to know if anyone else has had this problem and if it has been remedied.
Did you ever get this fixed? I have the same noise on mine and it drives me CRAZY!

I have found that if I tap on the far back corner of the passenger side fender (right where the A pillar meets the body) I can reproduce the noise. Still have no idea where it is coming from though.

I have been experiencing this same condition...I took my car to the dealer and they found a loose exhaust heat shield. The fastened it up and all is well!

I just wanted to say for several days I was pulling my hair out trying to locate the source of an annoying rattle at upper freeway speeds that only seemed to manifest over rough roads... It seemed as if it was coming from underneath my dashboard in the center portion... After 3 days of Madness I suddenly realized that what had happened was my sunshade had come unclipped and was hanging just below the clip hook... And what was happening was as I was going over rough road at high speed, the sunshade was bouncing and striking the hook multiple times...problem solved... Pretty pathetic huh? Anyway, everything's back to normal and I'm driving with a smile on my face
