thanks! I absolutely lurves it!

What color did you go with?

Unless there is some problem with it (scratches during transport, bird crap, etc), they don't get buffed by the dealer.

When dealers get vehicles in they will (unless otherwise specified) strip off any plastic from the factor (interior covers, taped on for transport, etc), wash it, clean windows, and spot clean the interior. Sometimes they vaccum them, but that's just to put the "marks in the carpet". Then it sits on the lot.

If it is going on the show floor, it will get a full detail and a wax, tires dressed, etc. If it's sold, same treatment plus a tank of gas.

Now, that it just the washing part of the PDI (pre delivery inspection) that a dealer does. They are supposed to torque the lugs, check the tire pressure, check to make sure all the options work, etc. But, we've all seen them miss those kinds of things.

Really the cost to a dealer for a delivery detail is 1 - 2 hours of a prep guy's time (depending on how much time they assign or how many people they put on the detail), about 10 buck in products, and the cost of a tank of gas.

All said and done, they probably have about $50 in the clean up, so no, it doesn't cost them much to let you order one. Get it at or below invoice.

Good luck.

You should really read the threads (he said it was a no go) before you post. 99% of your posts I think are made just to get your post count up. Just my opinion.
And to the OP. Go through a credit union. If you ar'nt a member of one go in and open an account at one usually takes $50.00 I think

So, what's wrong with the $1000 down to order what you want? It's still part of the total price, which is what everyone was talking about. Get the price agreed on before you sign anything, order what you want, and put down the $1000.....then wait and when you get it....enjoy the heck out it.

I can remember some years ago, I had pulled my pride and joy out of the garage for detailing, a noisy neighbor stopped by to admire my Corvette, he was telling me he'd love to take the car for a drive, nearly insisting that, if I were a good neighbor or friend I'd let him. Heck I didn't know that cat very well, almost sure he was drunk and I was positive that I wasn't going to let him touch the ride, much burn a ounce of gas in my beauty...........................He finally got pissed off and left after I made it clear that in order one, drive a Corvette, they had better be prepared to purchase and own one first...................same goes for a Camaro.

They had the exact one I wanted on the lot, it was like 27785, buy they still was adding on 3500 mark up price on it to. And they said to get like around 400 dollar a month payment I would have to come in with like 15000 dollars down. There isn't no way I'll ever have that kind of money. It's either I wait and get what I want or get a lesser model. They let me test drive a base model and with the extra 3500 and other fees they wanted 30000 for the ls model. And I was only figuring 500 cuz that's what ford wanted to build a new mustang. And I have to wait for someone to buy my car to, I know I can get 3000 butnim shooting to have at least five grand down. I only want a new camaro, I don't want a forth gen or third gen. I also didn't have the grand to put down to order one and the salesman kept trying to for me into the base model. They also said I could bring my car I'm selling down and they would try to sell it in 5 days and if they couldn't I would have to bring the camaro back and take the focus back, which if I had to do that it would piss me off. And just make me wanna destroy the focus

Dude, it sounds like you need to wait. Sure it sucks (believe me, I'm still doing it because of financial situations....had a baby, then the company I worked for started having some investor problems, then the company I worked for was taken over hostily and I lost my job...still don't have a job and I've been out of work since November).

But, don't settle for something less. It sounds like you might have a problem affording that anyway. Plus, don't forget taxes, title, and insurance. Oh and if you throw all your money into buying the car and manage to title it, you might want to have some money left for gas....otherwise it''s just a big (while gorgeous) paperweight in the driveway.

Hold off...get a job, make some cash, then get what you want.

Good luck.

They want to mark the car up $3500? That's ridiculous. I got mine for almost $2000 under sticker. Sounds like you need to hold off and when you are able to afford what you really want, find another dealership. Do yourself a favor and don't settle though, you'll regret it later.
