I havent even figured my gas mileage. I just drive the car like I want too. I have a heavy foot and I love to take off fast! Definately drive my sports car like a sports car! Whatever it is, it's better then my last car (Jeep SUV) so I'm happy

I did a 400 mile interstate roadtrip w/average speed be between 70-80 mph, cruise control, about 50 miles of it was hilly.

26.8 MPG. Measured by HAND and not the onboard computer which said 25.6 MPG.

with my mods I was shocked to get 21 on the highway, so was the guy who built it. Around town I get about 12.

Consumer reports says 21 mpg is what you'll get overall with the V6 and that is about what I get. I've even tried driving like grandma for a week and it really doesn't change much, though I don't do much highway driving.

The Camaro V6 is a dichotomy, if you hammer the accelerator, you will get crappy mileage no doubt, less than 20 if you're not careful. If you drive 60 on the highway, you'll get closer to 25-26. However, I drive 400 miles straight driving 60-65, yet I only got 26 mpg, I haven't come close to the 29 advertised :(

I see lots of threads about mpg or gas prices and I laugh get a prius or cruze our cars even the v6 are big beast that will continue to be hungry. I will skip a meal to make sure I feed the beast funny how many complain or worry about it. burn gas burn tires enjoy world ends in 2012 anyway hahhaha.

Mileage?? What's that? I'm burning 18L/100km. I'm not sure what the MPG conversion is, but I'm sure that my number is not good.

Like I tell everyone else who asks: I didn't buy it to be concerned with mileage. I drive it hard and it is what it is.

13.1 MPG

Why do so many feel the need to shoot down anyone who pays attention to their fuel mileage? I understand that most V8 drivers probably don't care, but a lot of V6 drivers (like the OP) do care, which is why many of them went the V6 route to begin with. The V6 Camaro isn't exactly a car you buy when price is no issue. Just because someone doesn't want to drive a Cobalt doesn't mean fuel costs are not a concern. At these prices, the gas bill could be almost as much as the payment.

[QUOTE=TooCool5;3072134]Its important to re-set the MPG readout occasionally. It gets flaky and stuck in low numbers.
Re-set my LS @ 65 mph with cruise on and got 30.8 the other day. After some stop and go and return home on the highway it reads 26.6 combined MPG.
Before re-setting it was stuck on 21.3[/QUOTE

Ahhhh because u reset it ... lol ... it averaged the fuel economy on that short trip with the I wanna get more MPG driving style... therefore it went up , it was stuck before cause that was your average MPG based on ur style of driving for the total miles driven since last reset
* which I assume was much longer cause it was stuck on an average for so long....

I haven't reset it since I drive off the lot, that way it reflects my lifetime MPG which is more important that a short trips MPG ... 16.9 MPG combined @ 26K miles with a 1/3 of the mileage being fast driving ... I have to slam it for 2 days straight to get it to budge a point, takes a lot longer to get it back up without resetting it !!

I got 29.1 mpg going 76 mph over a 250 mile drive this weekend. Loved it! And that's WITH the A/C running. Not too bad for a 305 hp sixer.
