I can't believe we can drag a thread out to 3 pages because someone got a ticket for something they knew was illegal...

I don't see why we news front plate I'm the first place. If they didn't make the car with front plates the why should I have to pay a fine to and the have to buy front plates.......Cali rulesand laws are so watered down to where you can't enjoy nothing

I was impressed with how long we lasted without one of these threads...

Citations can be issued to stationary/unoccupied vehicles (generally) if they are non-moving or equipment violations. Only some states are exceptions, and it appears yours is not one.

..and Austin, the cops aren't the ones issuing those. It is code enforcement or citizen service personnel. I believe he mentioned his father even said a "city person" was walking the block. Don't believe I have ever heard a cop referenced as a "city person". Keep up the good work. F the city person enforcing policies, rules, regulations, set for and established into law by people you, the American people, voted for.

Simple solution. Get a front plate, move, or accept that there is a chance you will be cited by someone who has the authority to do so.

Simple.. your state and NY (a few others are beginning to catch up and have adopted this law) blow the rest of the 48 states out of the water with auto thefts.

It is there for auto thefts. Police and traffic cameras can run tags on both sides and locate far more stolen vehicles this way.

I guess we could make a conditional circumstance. If you don't want the front plate on, that is ok and LE cannot give you a ticket for it. However, when your car is stolen, if it does not comply with your state's regulations, you cannot report it stolen and cannot file an insurance claim.

ammmmmiiiiiiriiiitteeee!? No? I agree, that is silly.

Best Defense is just DONT DO anything that would likely lead to a ticket. (including if your car is simply parked.)

Dark tint = tickets. No front plate = tickets. Weird license plate cover that makes it hard to read your tag = ticket. smoking the tires at the mall = ticket. etc.

the car already draws tons of attention as it is....and for whatever reason it is, everyone is jealous of this car as well.......don't make it worse.

Or, do all of the above and pay the ticket like a man.

Come on man, the mods on here do a great job. It is a thank-less job which they do for no pay and less appreciation. I wouldn't want to be a mod. To have to read through all these posts, not for pleasure like we do bit because it is there responsibility to because of there title.
These guys are great compared to some of the forums I have seen. On some, all you have to do is sneeze at the wrong time to get banned. They give third and fourth warnings here and try everything they can before they do that here.
Thanks guys for all Yall do. There are people here that appreciate it
