Corvette's are push-start only. They come with a key, but that's only to pop the trunk and open the electronically-latched doors in case of a power failure.

In that case I rather have remote start because I can crank the car up in my driveway and it's ready to roll as soon as I get in. I use it all the time.
I have BOTH in the current 09 Caddy... and had it in my 2005 STS before this. My Vette has push button start but no remote start because its Stick.

I'm fine sticking a key in the ignition. Call me old fashioned...

Translation into English
Did anyone else notice that the Camaro doesn't have a push start? I don't see anybody else complaining about the lack of a push start option.
Why the hell wouldn't the Camaro come with a push button start? Using a key is not [COLOR="red"]up to date for a 2010 car. I ordered my car with the manual transmission, and was wondering if there is a custom push start button to use.

My wifes 2011 Altima has push button start... Its cool to show people, but it's not any easier than just using a key. You still have to get your keys in your hand to use the keyless entry, then you have to push the brake pedal and then push the ignition. It is nice that you can start your car and walk away from it though. It won't move unless the keys are in the cabin with you.

I lived in Europe most of my life until '08. My last car was a Renault Scenic it had keyless entry, pushbutton start, but no remote start.
The car didnt have a key but a "thick credit card" if i was within a few feet of the car i only had to place my hand on the door handle and the door/doors would open, sit down and press the button, as long as the card was in the car (your pocket) to turn off the car push the button get out and touch the sensor on the door handle and it would lock, or it would lock itself after a few minutes.
The card also had a few buttons, to unlock from a greater distance or to open close/lock door's/windows/sunroof
There was a mini key built in the card for emergancy's like a dead battery.
It also had auto lights and window wipers, that worked very well never had to adjust the wiper speed.
All in all i thought it was very connvienient.

It has nothing to do with lazy....we like that our light come on automaticly.

All of the C6 Vettes have push button starts and so do Vipers. And the Ram SRT-10 has it also. So I dont think you have an argument on 'lack of American muscle'. Those are three high horse power american vehicles with push button starts. Oh...the Italians and the high end Germans (I dont consider a 3 series high end) have it too. I dont care for the push button starts myself because keeping up with the key is more trouble than its worth.

yeah i don't know what the big deal is with the whole push start button. It takes just as much effort to turn a key than to lift up your finger and push a button. MHO

Meh, don't need it. Take away the key, and you take part of the soul from the car, IMO...

I like turning the key in my car......not obsessed with push button start. It's a nice novelty but what does it add to the car?

Also like SSOOOCH said.......currently it's not like we are turning a real key to start the car. All we do is pop the key in and turn one click and the car starts itself, you can't even over turn the starter, so WTF would be the point of a push start and for the drivers who are saying we don't need that in muscle cars well we already have it.....sorta.

I am still not a fan of the push button start, because it adds not value to the car. It doesn't add any more convenience, functionality, power, monetary value or visual appeal IMHO. It's just a novelty on all the cars that have it.
