i have had my lights installed since October 12 and when I was home in Dec. 12 I noticed the far left light "afterburner Strip" is now half was unsecured from the housing area and leaning on my tail light cover and the last 4 LEDs on the strip are out. Time to contact the company and get this resolved. I love the lights and they have worked great since i installed them but for $400 my lights should not be going out or falling out of place within 3 months.

And 6hrs later I just finished installing mine. What a royal pain in the ...!!! Wouldn't work right at best had 3 lights all flashing the same direction I then swapped some wires and they all would just flutter!! Finally narrowed it down to a wire had to be crossed or something when I read another post about the cable being faulty. When I turned the left turn signal I had three sets of lights flashing when I turned to right I had just one. Got to looking at the harness that was supplied and with help of a light tester figured out I needed to swap two wires. So I cut them swapped and heat shrunk them. Voila!!!! They work like a champ now!! If your watching make those dang wires a little longer because unless you have the hands of a three year old your gonna have a hard time. Also they need to kick some butt on the quality control as far as the wiring harness and please ANSWER the dang 866 number!!!! Ok I'm done venting. Good luck guys!!

I just installed mine this week and noticed the inner passenger light was doing a random style flash. Then this morning the inner driver did it at start up, and then the outer driver when I got out of the car. Everything seems to be working fine except for the random light going crazy for a second. It doesn't last long, kinda looks like a reset or something.

I just installed a set of these on my 2010 SS today. I had a problem with one of the lights not working no matter what I did. After calling and finding that Todd wouldn't be in until Monday, I took the failing light apart and found that one of the 4-pin connectors wasn't connected.

That fixed the "Afterburner" taillight part, but the sequential turn signals/brake lights didn't work. Turns out that when I was on the phone, I asked if the two pigtail wires were for the show mode. The guy said, yes, they were. So I didn't connect 'em. Then I started searching here and found the answer. The pink wire has to be connected to the BAT circuit.

All's well now. I painted the bezels with Plasti-Dip and also installed the side markers.

If I was in charge of things, I'd redo the instruction sheet to clarify the optional wire, the positioning of the ballast resistors and add a FAQ or troubleshooting section.

I really liked these Technostalgia lights, but I'm soooo glad I didn't get them after all I've read. I just tinted my factory lights, changed the bulbs to LED, added a sequential harness, and some afterburners.

When I installed mine on my SS, they were a 1st Gen Model I did get everything fixed and back in Sept 2012, I traded in the SS, I have learned that the new owner has had some problems with them too.

Now with that said, my ZL1 got a set of the Gen 2 lights, only one issue with these, I had some moisture in one (outer drivers side), resealed with silicone and no more issue, so far so good..

Bringing this thread back out of the dead ... just got a set of the tail lights only (with resistors) locally from a guy but had to get the harness from manufacturer; they shipped harness today ... hope I don't have as many issues as some here ... loving the features of the lights though

How are they holding up after years of use?

Let us know how they work because I have a set on order and I am hoping these problems where from it being new on the market at the time. They are hard to get so they must be doing something right. Either a company has a huge back order list or they simply can not get them to keep up with demand. I found a company online yesterday and she called the company while I was on the phone and it will take 10 business days before the next batch is built. I should have the set shortly after that. The lights are awesome but I just hope they are not going to be more trouble than they are worth. I got them for $339.00 because the sight has a 15% off everything. The regular price for them are $399.00 just about every where you look so I was happy to get that discount because I purchased lowering springs as well. All in all I saved over $100 bucks for both.

Also, I found this thread after I purchased them so I wasn't aware there were problems with them at all.

Have had mine for over two years now with only a few self fixing issues. I had to reseal two of them as I over tightened the nuts and broke the seal ( my fault totally). Had to do a reset once but all that was needed was to remove from the battery for 30 seconds. No led failure or drop in performance.

These lights are complete housing and all right? Just take out the factories and replace with the Rapid Fires? They should just be plug and play. I just wanted to make sure because I am returning my Oracle CCFL after burners. They are just more trouble than they are worth plus I am not a huge Oracle supporter because of their lacking in customer service.

Hubby put my lights in this past July, I actually got a set from Bad Mab who I just learned was suspended from this forum. Anyone know why? I had to wait a couple months to get them, but Bad Mab was the only place you could actually place an order. Mine seem to be doing fine, occasionally I will get one of the lights misbehaving briefly and my blu-ray is not a daily driver. I don't seem to have any battery draining issues. I will put in a call to Todd just for communication purposes in case I have further issues. I do love the lights and hope they hold up.
