Problems with my Technostalgia Full LED lights

I installed these x5 now, I wanted to ensure that the problem was not anything that I did.

Here is what is happening. All lights hooked according to the instructions sheet, all switches in the light are off. I had one of the ballist with a wrong connector (had a female to female end on both connectors, fixed this) and ensured everything connected correctly. On my test here is what happens

Door unlock far outer drivers side flashes like rapid fire brake lights applied all others flash as normal.

Fourways same as above.

Left turn inner drivers side flashes as a normal turn (should be Seque) drivers outer flashed as sequential, inside shows check turn signal. Flashing (signal turns seems to be normal speed)

Right turn both lights flashes very fast and not Sequential at all.

Brake test is same as fourway no rapidfire except for the far drivers outer.

Anyone else have issues like this?

I have tried to call them about this but get leave a message all day long.

I have, I have tried to reverse connections on the harness, swap end for end. Flipped around the bulb connectors, this is killing me.:(

Double check those switches inside. Also, make sure nothing is loose inside each of the tail lamps. When I installed mine, I had one of the connectors come off the main board inside the tail light. Once I fixed that, everything worked.

I have had only a slight problem with just my Driver's Inner Lamp as shown in the video below, and it only affects the Seq Turn Signal, all other functions are working normal.

I have not had any problems getting ahold of them via phone or email and they have been very helpful so far. They think there might have been a change in the BCM Functions on the late 2011's, and they are trying to source a Convertible for testing.

Silly question, but you did not ground the purple wire by accident, or have it floating around in your trunk somewhere?

No I taped off the purple wire.

Check the pins on the connectors for the resistors. I had one of the pins get pushed in so I have to push it back out so both the pins connected fully. Also just check all your connectors because I do remember them rather tough to fully connect.

Thanks to Todd @ cool LEDs and to the folks that replied here!

It turned out to be three issues. First the resistor connectors were not tight, I soldered them, fixed the check light issues. Second there was a loose connector in a light and last the power lead needs to be un-connected when switching the switches inside the lights. But got them up and going. Hope they last!

I installed these on my 2012 Camaro two weeks ago and had the same problem. Turned out it was my resistors. Todd at Technostalgia (todd@cool-leds.com) had an answer to my question in literally hours on a Sunday. Turns out it actually was GM's changes to the late 2011 and 2012 Camaro and Technostalgia had new resistors designed for these tail lights. The next day (Columbus Day) he shipped me a new set of resistors and now my tail lights work perfectly. No issues what so ever now.

So, OP I am sure that Todd will help you with any questions you have.

@Neffarious - Thanks, I guess it's time to get ahold of him again and see if he is ready to ship me those new Resistors then.

Did you have it on just one side or both, when I called him last he said there was another car who was having it on both sides?

I did have a problem with both sides, however, originally it was only one side. I had a loose resistor connection on the inner passanger side blinker that I repaired myself with a pair of neadle nose pliers and some more heat wrap.

After my second test everthing worked great in my drive way. Its only when I took my car out for a test that I started having issues with both sides. Also, the issue was not confined to any one side. The turn signals would work perfectly fine for 5 out of 6 turns, but that 1 in 6 would be out of sync. It wouldnt be from the first blink either, only after 3-4 blink rotations would I get the DIC error and the arrow would start to flash fast.

Note: I had no issues (that I could see) with any of the other signals such as break lights, day time running lights, remote door locking, trunk opening, or emergancy flashers. I did not test the show mode.

The new resistor packs that I got were deffenetly diffrent and the wires had a beefier connection. I could tell there was a quality improvement on the second set.
