With the Predator tune and AFM off my MPG was a wash. Lost some with AFM off but picked it back up with the tune. Right now I'm on 4 tanks of 93 octane since the last reset and my average MPG is reading 18.3 on the DIC. That's driving roughly 32 miles round trip daily (60% hwy / 40% city). Besides the Predator tune my only mod is a Corsa LS3 catback.

It's really no big deal after owning the car for a little while. I don't mind it anymore at all.
hahaha it's ok once you have accepted defeat and you are void a soul

I have CAI intake & GMPP axle-back exhaust (sounds exactly how I wanted), and AFM isn't an issue at all. And even if it was, I could manually keep it off... just by driving aggressively (higher rpms) in [M]. So yes, it can be controlled without getting a tune, even for a full exhaust (although if you get headers, you should get a tune).
Yea, you are in the same boat as I am as well with modification desires. I plan to do CAI and the ATAK. My only concern with the GMPP vs the ATAK is the ATAK being a louder tone if the AFM would be more distinct. However, I guess I will just play it by ear. If I don't mind it...no big deal....if I do I will try the tap shift first to avoid a tune to void the warranty and use that as my last option.

Same guys that think the color they got is the best. Get what you want. Test drive it first and make the right choice for you.

AMEN
I though i wanted a manual cause of the hp diference 26 hp seams like alot. but after i drove them both i picked the auto.
