I apologize BlueDragonVT, I am also unable to get the railcar number for you. I know this type of information is given out for certain vehicles but I would not be able to access it. I hope you have your vehicle soon.

Sounds like yours is on the same path that mine took: Toledo, Louisville, Lordstown... Keep the faith...

Jeff, thanks for taking a look. I actually was able to get the railcar information. According to CSX tracking, it is currently somewhere between Toledo and Louisville. Hopefully she'll get here soon, without too much more fuss.

Suskam, yeah, our stories are sounding pretty similar. Hopefully we are both cruising under sunny skies sooner rather than later, but that is starting to feel like asking for three miracles, one for each of the cars, and another for some decent weather!

So after all this time, it took the scenic route from Oshawa Canada, down thru Detroit, through Walbridge Oh, all the way down to Nashville TN, only to be unloaded from the train and TRUCKED back up to Dayton?????

Should be ready for it's first oil change by now.

You are far far more patient than I was.

Actually, I have to admit, I looked around about a month ago to see if I could find one locally. Only IBM 2SS/RS that was in my area had been sitting on the dealer lot for almost a year, and they weren't listing the mileage. I didn't want to pay new car prices for what was basically a used car. Between that and the restrictions on metallic paint, I decided I had to wait. She's here now, though. Hopefully the wait was worth it!

As for the logistics and routing, I have no idea why they would do this convoluted crap.

You need the railcar number. Then you call CSX at 877-744-7279 and hit option 5 then option 3.

You should be able to get your railcar number from your dealer or from the GM customer care line.

Glad to hear it's finally at the dealership! Hopefully it doesn't disappoint, which will be difficult after all this waiting.
