Do those fittings really require something like Teflon tape (looks like crap) to prevent leaks?

With all NPT style fittings whether it is in our can or another it a best practice to use thread tape to garantee a good seal. It may not be needed but it is better to be safe. Other catch can manufacturers recommend the same thing. After installing the fittings you can take a razor blade and trim away the excess for a clean look.

By the way, I just ordered one of your Catch Cans to replace the old RX can I currently have. It's just not doing the job on my SS that it used to when it was on my 1LT (V6). Probably should have upgraded the can when I upgraded the car. Merry Christmas to me! (As well as all of y'all at Apex Motorsports!

Yeah - thanks Denis. I just wanted to know if it was really necessary, but if it's a metal fitting and a metal can with NPT threads I can see where it would be a good precaution against leakage (fluid and vacuum). Thanks.

Finally getting around to installing my Apex CC and in the instructions it refers to an App. A and App. B for the suggested hose lengths but there is no App. A or B attached to the pdf file. I've got the can physically installed just looking for the numbers so I can start on the lines.
