I'm sure it would adhere to the molding, so I don't see why it wouldn't hold up.... Painting it still your best option

If these pull off so easy what would the cost difference be if you just got the parts from a dealer that are pre-painted vs having the stock black painted?

Good idea. Probably cost just about the same. I wonder if you can get them from GMPartsDirect?

Good point, though many people like "Doing it themselves", which gives them a little more pride in modding his/her car. I could've painted them, but my buddy, who has a paint shop, painted both for 50 bux, so I'm not sure if you could get them for that cheap....
If you have a non-RS, you'd obviously have to get the RS painted ditch molding...
But it's a good alternative....

I looked in to that, but they don't come pre-painted, and the dealer is probably gonna charge an arm and a leg just to paint them.

Ah thanks, Maybe someone like Gary can start selling some of these painted. I understand the DIY thing, the first time I put on an intake on a 06 eclipse I was so proud and bragged for days about it!

Anybody do it themselves? Trying to paint it myself and was wondering what the exact steps and tools I would need
