normal noise or weird noise? help!! - Camaro5 Chevy Camaro Forum / Camaro ZL1, SS and V6 Forums

hi guys okay so i i hav a 2011 camaro 2SS Automatic Six-Speed w/ TapShiFT

idk if this is how the car is supposed to sound or something is wrong..
well when im in d i drive when the car first starts off the car's exhaust note is kind of high pitched idk how to explain it but it sounds weird
also i like to drive in M mode wit the paddle shifters, so say i start off in 1st gear, it still has a little bit of that high pitch noise but as the rpms go up the car makes a strange noise i cant explain it, like idk if its static from my speakers or what that noise is! BUT it worries me, like i shift from 1st to 2nd at 2000 rpms and its fine - then when my rpms are going up to 2000+ the weird static or w/e that noise is thats coming from my car starts goin up again and it gets a bit more louder as u get to 2,500 rpms... WHAT IS GOING ON!!!! is this NORMAL?

and IDK if the sound is static, its not STATIC but its close to it, its wishy washy... ugh if i think of better words of how to describe it i will let u know

tell me ur input plz (and i didnt proofread the post - srry for runons, just stressed)

sounds to me like you need to take it to the dealer. there shouldn't be any "static" type noise. perhaps take a video and see if you can post it and we can hear it.

If you think you have a problem, take it to the dealer. Its a 2011.

also what abt the high pitch noise? when i accelerate slowly the exhaust is high pitch and sounds really crappy

yes it is all stock bought brand new 2011 2SS, i just hit 995 miles on it today, took it home on 12/2/2010

yeah, just take it to the dealer. if they say it's normal, then go to a local camaro meet in your area and listen to other cars to see if it sounds the same.

yeah but im ALL the way up in palos verdes - mayb i shud test drive another ss and see if it sounds the same..
