straight pipe????

i have a muffler delete with a res-xpipe........ i want to just straight pipe it but i want to no what you all thought. and if its hard on anything.

Just get a non-resonated x pipe, good to go. And high flow cats if you want, that'll make it loud lol

And no, it's not hard on anything. Modern cars ftw

ok because when i look up straight pipe on you tube idk if that just a muffler delete or what??? i want mine to sound like the real straight piped do i use a x or a H or just straight pipes?????????

Well my understanding is that straight pipes aren't literally a straight piece of pipe, rather being a shortened term for "straight-through pipe" as in without any sound deadening, etc (like mufflers, resonators, cats.) It doesn't really matter whether a x, h, or two pipes are used but the general consensus around here is that the x pipe is the way to go because our cars pick up a few HP points off them.

If you want it a little bit louder, I think that'd be the way to go. If you want more from there, grab a set of high-flow cats. SOLO and JBA make some. JBA's are cheaper though, same parts, they're just a bigger company.

Whatever you do, make sure you have a X or H pipe installed. Deleting it would make your exhaust less efficient and decrease your HP.
