How long is too long to wait for an order...!? 2/19

Alright, this is what's going on. I placed an order for an exhaust system for my car this past Saturday morning. As of today, I haven’t heard anything from the seller although I've sent maybe 3 emails just to confirm everything went through okay as far as my payment. No response just yet. I know it was the weekend, and you never know, there could have been a lot going on that I have no clue about. Just want to give the seller the benefit of a doubt of course. but seeing as how I haven't heard anything and my money has already been sent through PayPal and now out of my account, should I be worried? How long is too long to wait for a response in your opinion? What do you all think...?

If he/she is a member PM them or call their CS # as stated above. I would give them the benefit of the doubt, but not much longer.

definitely call them. thought people have email, they don't always get to it right away, even though they should, but again, call first.

Made the purchase through a vendor on this site. Not a formal transaction didn't have an invoice etc. But like I said, I know it was the weekend. And as overhaulengines mentioned there are lots of people that have email but don't get to it right away. Like me for example, I've got an iPhone so I've got connections galore 24/7 and that may not be the case for everyone. I've got a cell number but I don't want to bug the seller yknow..!? At the same time, it's my money and all..! Ok I think I'll wait a little bit and give the seller a call tomorrow afternoon and see what's up. Thanks for the input so far folks. Always appreciate any advice I get..!

So just an update. I spoke with the vendor Wednesday and they said that my purchase would be shipped out today. So I'll be keeping my fingers crossed and hopefully I'll get what I ordered...

So I talked to the vendor today after I didn't get a tracking number abd I got one voicemail stating that my item wasn't ready (although he said it'd be shipped yesterday..!?) and that he'd go and talk to the manufacturer Monday and hopefully shipped by next week. So I call back right after I get this voicemail and leave him a message stating that I'd just like a refund because it is taking longer than I expected. I paid them a week ago. Five hours later, I get another call from the vendor saying that if I want a refund he'd have to charge me 20-25% because my purchase is made to order by the manufacturer. I didn't special order anything at all and I'm not going to be charged for anything that I didn't receive in the first place. Why try and sell me something that you led me to believe was in stock when it really wasn't. I'm not trying to bash the vendor or anything but...c'mon on man! I really don't I'm bein unreasonable. If you can't deliver in a timely fashion fine, just give me my money back. There was nothing signed, nothing official, I didn't get a receipt, nothing mentioned a "restocking" or "special order" fee. Getting a little frustrated. But filed a dispute through paypal.

Send a message via Yahoo to d69chris
Leave it to paypal, they will get you your full money back. It has been a while, did you escalate the dispute?

What mfg is making exhaust systems to order for these cars still???

Restocking charge is a crappy approach to doing business. Vendor could have probably saved the order had he some brains.

Also, you need to learn some patients. With all the Mods that lay ahead......nothing goes fast and furious.

My Corsa cat-back system shipped direct from mfg within 3 days of vendor order and I had it 10 days after placing. That was fast, most things don't happen the easily.
