350ci as found in the 1969 Camaro,
(1969 300 hp (224 kW)) @ 4800 rpm, 380 lb·ft (515 N·m) @ 3200 rpm I'm going to go with the 69, 100 ftlbs of torque is hard to overcome. |

The 2011 V6 should win.
I had just about the same car but it was a 67 with a 350 out of a 69 with edlebrock intake and 600cfm carb, dual exhaust, yada, yada. It was a high 14 second car at best but probably about a 15 flat. Even after the 350 blew and I put a ZZ4 in its place it wasnt much faster until I bolted on long tubes, 750 holley, and 12 bolt rear with 4.10 posi and then it was a high 12's but only after a Hughes TH400 and subframe connectors and lift bars possibly mid 12's if I could of gotten good 60 foots but I never got around to taking it to the track because the the vacuum secondaries on the holley never fully opened or was too soft so I just zip tied the secondary linkage to the primaries so it would fully open when I wanted but drive ability suffered due to all 4 barrels opening together instead of progressive. |

Those old muscle cars stock aren't nearly as fast as the new ones.

Stock to stock I would give the new V6 a pretty easy win. Remember, that rating for the 69 would be gross and the new one in net ratings. i'd say the modern HP rating for that 69 would be lucky to be 250 horses.

Thanks,my friend keeps telling me his 69 can beat mine. I said I don't care since mine is way cooler than his since his doesn't even run now.

It's pretty easy to make a 1969 anything run...points get deducted from the meatball owner that can't fix a carb/distributor car...but certainly not from the car itself. Don't forget, it's 42-43 years old.
