Header install, O2 question's

So I just ordered my XS power long tubes I did not order O2 extenders... I have heard that on some cars, you can pull enough wire out to make it to the headers without extension ( c6 corvette a clip you can cut that keeps the wire's from being pulled out more) Has anyone tried this with a camaro, or do I need the extenders? Thanks, cant wait to get these things on!

You'll need the 12" extenders for the forward 02 sensors. There is no way the wiring will reach them. The aft ones just need a little rearranging but will plug in no problem.

I got mine to reach on my OBX Headers without Extenders. You just have to trace the wires and see where they are tied into the harness and cut them free. Just make sure to re zip tie the remaining wires.

Extenders are typically included....and are a better bet than hacking up the OEM wiring.

This becomes even more important if this car is you DD.

I was thinking the same...I have the Dynatech SuperMaxx series and they came with everything needed to include 02 extenders.

Most budget brand LT's don't come with all the accessories. XS would fall into that category.

By the time you get extenders, HF cats, and misc accessories... are you not at the price of the premium headers?

No cats for me... I built my own catback for just over a 100 bucks, 350 for a nice set of budget headers, I am in total under $500 for a system that I could have spent more money then I feel exhaust is worth spending and it will make the same power. Thats just me though, I am on a tight budget. I do all my own work, so I save alot there too.
