RX Catch Can install questions

Hello!

Taking a new approach to installing mods...going to get my questions out of the way before I start installing and get stuck . I've read and searched all the threads but these questions still linger.

First question is: how much of that vaccum tube do you cut? I'm afraid to cut too much

2nd: There are 3 peices included that I have no clue what it's for: One is a hard plastic 90 degree tubing that looks like it can screw into a screw hole. Also there are two rubber nipple looking things. Are they necessary?

3rd: I purchased the breather..should I remove that hose from the crank tube that attaches to the cold air intake?

4th and finally: what beer should I drink when doing this mod?

Thanks in advance for everyones help! Can't wait to have this installed!!

I can help you with 3 of those questions.

1) measure how far it is from the intake to the catch can, and then cut there. OR cut it in half, that way you're safe.

3) yes undo the hose going to your CAI

4) Stella

I bought a rx catch can, and it didnt have anything to do with my cai.

hubby installed it in less than 20 mins, with his handy dandy can of bud sitting next to him.

Oooh Stellas a good call! I like the cut in half option..I actually thought there was a mistake when they only sent me one hose. Sounds like it should be long enough to run two hoses. For #3, I've been reading past posts and I've been getting mixed results. Some say leaving it on doesn't matter some say to take it off. . Thanks for your help!

So I'm in the middle of my install and I need some major help lol. Does anyone know what I need to do if I threaded the hole in my radiator where the catch can bolts on to? My catch can is just kinda free hanging now lol and I'm afraid to drive it like that. Thanks!

Are you talking about the screw whare I attaced mine.

if SO I REPLACED THE eom BOLT BY A 7-16 REGULAR TREAD BOLT 3-4 INCH LONG

It did it's own way and very solid, it's now holding 2 catch cans.

oh wow. Thanks for the tip. I just left home depot but I picked up 5/16 regular thread and 2.5 inches long instead. Didn't see your post soon enough. You think that will work? And did you just use that new bolt and screw it in? You didn't use a different tool to re-thread the hole did you? I really appreciate it .

I just used the other bolt. It screws into plastic so the tread did it's own way and since it's much finer it holds better. 3-4 inch is the longest to use.

I want to use the stock bolt but I chewed up the threading in that hole of the plastic radiator. When i was trying to tighten the oem bolt, plastic shavings started falling out and now the. oem bolt won't tighten. I wasn't even tightening very hard eithrr.
