I know they say the v-6 has 312 hp . Is that BHP or RWHP . If its BHP , can anyone tell me the RWHP for the 2011 v-6 manual LS ?

stock is around 260 for the manual, and 255 for the automatic. but with just a few simple mode you can get a whole lot more. the vararam air intake is good for more than 20 ponies. on its own.

The a6's I've seen run on dyno days have been at 238 rwhp +-5 ... I would guess the m6 would be around 255 rwhp +-5 ...

I'd agree with this. Most autos are dynoing around 235 to 245, and manuals around 255 or 260....but then again dynos should be used as a comparison tool and not a be all end all measurement tool. Too many variables.

You could dyno at once place, then drive across the street and dyno 20 hp less.

When I had my M6 on the dyno I put down 251 RWHP with a K&N Cold air kit.

All the major manufacturers advertise the power at the flywheel. Typically, a modern rear wheel drive car will have about 13-15% loss with a manual and about 17-19% with an automatic.

I made 257 on a mustang dyno with a rotofab dry filter and MRT 2.0. The temps where 87 degrees which is a ton of power for the conditions. Mustang dynos are the heartbreaker. They always read low so Im really happy with my results.

dynos it can either break your heart or give you wings but at the end of the day it might dont mean crap. Only use it as a measuring tool from one change to another on the same dyno within the same situation.

We have seen stock manual cars dyno as low as 230 and this is on a dynojet. Same goes for L99 which can dyno as low as 295. oh and dont belive that a mustang read low its all up to the op to set it properly especially on a mustang, dyno dynamic etc.
