2012 SS L99 fuse pull

Just turned 800 miles on my vert and filled it up for the 4th time. Was wondering if the fuse pull would wake it up. So last night the storms rolled in so I parked it and pulled the fuses. Put them back in this morning and man did the motor wake up. In D mode it pulls way quicker. In M mode I got on it and the back end broke loose and sent me a little sideways even with the nannies on. Plus it chirped going into second. This car is a beast.
Dealer said he put in 92 when I picked it up. Now I doubt it.
If you have a 2012 L99 I would pull the fuses. I'm now a believer.

Wow, you'd think GM would've fixed this by now.

What fuses did you pull?
Also, how's the ride compared to the 2011?

Make sure the engine and ignition are turned off

Locate Fuse Panel in front of the passenger's side front strut tower and pull the cover

Remove #5 and #20 (15A fuses) (photo of location below)

Let the car sit for at least several hours (overnight is preferable)

Install #5 and #20 (15A) fuses

Install Fuse Panel cover

Restart vehicle and enjoy

Note: Do not unplug the battery. It has no effect.

There's nothing to fix. You put 87 in and it pulls timing to counter for less octane so the engine doesn't knock. Once 87 is in it locks in the lower octane fuel table.

Yeah, but the car's computer should be smart enough to know when higher octane is in again, and switch to the higher table. Imagine someone who didn't know any better and was driving around on the low fuel table all the time.:(

Are you serious? I did not know this but then again this is first Chevy I have owned in 18 yrs. or so. In the upper midwest we can get 10% ethenol at 89 octane for .10 cheaper than 87 octane. So I usually run the 89 Octane. I filled up last week with 93 octane and took an out of town trip. I didn't notice much power increase but I did notice about 23mpg @ 85-95 mph instead of 20mpg or so. Our speed limit here is 75 mph.

89! 93 only! or there'll be trouble. But yeah low octane cut's the nards off the V8 auto. So Filler up and Fuse pull. Then hold on.

Rides great. Then again the only time I drove another one was in 10 and that was a hardtop. Nice and smooth. Bumps are really not a factor. Suspension is stiff in the convertible but not to much. Rides and corners great. The cornering reminds me of my neighbors 07 Vette.

Just wondering, I know that the fuse pull works for the higher octane gas, but what happens when you use lower octane and do a fuse pull?

Uh oh, I think you are really missing out on your car's potential! From what I've read on here, you gotta run a few tanks of high octane to make sure all the lower octane stuff gets used up, then do the fuse pull. I don't have the SS, so one of those guys can probably give you more info
